  • Publication number: 20060127063
Abstract: The present invention provides an optical disc apparatus that records information on an optical disc in accordance with the UDF standard. A volume recognition sequence is data indicating that the file system used for organizing information recorded on an optical disc is a UDF file system, and is written to sectors on the optical disc that are specified in the UDF standard. When information is to be recorded on an optical disc, the optical disc apparatus writes a volume recognition sequence to specified sectors on the optical disc if the optical disc is blank and it does not write the volume recognition sequence if the optical disc is not blank. This can prevent an existing volume recognition sequence on the specified sectors of the optical disc from being unnecessarily overwritten when information is additionally recorded on the optical disc. Accordingly, the sectors can be protected from damage or wear due to repeated writing.

  • Publication number: 20060060453
Abstract: A discharge device for worked material is provided. The worked material produced by the press working is received on a chute arranged just below a lower die. The chute is driven to make a reciprocating motion within a substantially horizontal plane in response to a die stroke. At a moment of stopping of the forward movement of the chute, an inertia force acting on the worked material from the chute is greater than a static frictional force. Or otherwise, a force taking effect upon starting of a backward movement of the chute is greater than the static frictional force. Consequently, the worked material is due to be discharged from the chute.

  • Publication number: 20050259970
Abstract: A recording and reproducing apparatus for recording a video signal on an optical disc using a video recording (VR) format and for reproducing the optical disc in which the video signal is recorded in the VR format, the recording and reproducing apparatus includes an extension information recording means for generating extension information including character string information representing an input character string and correspondence information representing an object to which that the character string corresponds, and for recording the extension information on the optical disc. An upper limit of a number of characters of the character string represented by the character string information is made to be limitless, while a program and a cell in an original program chain, and a program and a cell in a user-defined program chain are included in the object to be corresponded by means of the correspondence information.

  • Publication number: 20050259969
Abstract: A recording and reproducing apparatus includes an information recording unit that generates reproduction range information indicating the range of image signals to be reproduced as moving picture and that records it on an optical disk. When representative images representing contents of the image signals recorded on the optical disk are displayed, the representative images are displayed as moving picture obtained by reproducing the image signals recorded on the optical disk based on the reproduction range information.

  • Publication number: 20050034499
Abstract: Provided are a processing method of forming a concavity in a pipe member and an apparatus thereof, which allows to form a concavity in a pipe member with little shear droop produced in a corner portion of the concavity. According to the present invention, a plurality of rollers, each having similar shape and made of same material, is sequentially brought into contact with and pressed to the same site of processing on a pipe member to thereby deform that site. The quantity of deformation of the pipe is increased step by step, and finally the concavity of desired shape may be formed. The shear droop in a corner portion of thus formed concavity can be minimized since the quantity of deformation by each roller is controlled to be small and a plurality of processing operations is applied.

  • Patent number: 6410676
Abstract: The object is to provide a method for producing a polyoxyalkylene polyol and a method for producing a derivative thereof wherein the remaining catalyst compound is efficiently removed from a crude polyoxyalkylene polyol by a simple manner, and a method for producing a polyoxyalkylene polyol wherein a crude polyoxyalkylene polyol is produced by addition polymerization of an epoxide compound to an active hydrogen compound using as a catalyst a compound having a P═N bond, then, the crude polyoxyalkylene polyol is allowed to contact with a solid acid having a specific surface area of 450 to 1200 m2/g and an average pore diameter of 40 to 100 Å to control the catalyst-remaining amount in the polyoxyalkylene polyol to 150 ppm or less, and a method for producing a derivative of the-above-described polyol are provided.

  • Patent number: 6207794
Abstract: The present invention is a polyoxyalkylene polyol, its manufacture method, and derivatives, wherein: it is obtained using a phosphazenium compound as a catalyst; the hydroxyl value is 2˜200 mgKOH/g; total degree of unsaturation is 0.0001˜0.07 meq./g; the head-to-tail bond selectivity of the polyoxyalkylene polyol is 95 mole %; and when the maximum height of the peak of GPC elution curve is set to be 100%, W20 is defined as the peak width at the 20% peak height, and W80 is defined as the peak width at 80% peak height, the ratio of W20/W80 is 1.5 or greater, and less than 3.

  • Patent number: 6082772
Abstract: An automatic insertion bookmark 10 designed to allow a bookmark portion 14 to be automatically inserted into and placed on an opened page 20a of a book 16. The bookmark 10 includes a fixing portion 12, a connecting portion 13, and a bookmark portion 14. The fixing portion 12 is either prefixed to one of the following or fixed thereto when the bookmark 10 is used: a back cover 18 of the book 16; a front cover 20 of the book 16; and, a leaf 19 of the book 16 in the immediate vicinity of either the back cover 18 or the front cover 20. A proximal end of the connecting portion 13 is connected to an upper portion of the fixing portion 12. Further, the bookmark portion 14 is connected to a distal end of the connecting portion 13. When the bookmark 10 is used, the bookmark portion 14 is folded downward at a portion where the bookmark portion 14 and the connecting portion 13 are joined together. As a result, the bookmark portion 14 is directed downward in an opposed relationship to the fixing portion 12.
