  • Patent number: 10450426
Abstract: The invention provides a saponified ethylene-vinyl ester copolymer pellet which can be inhibited from cracking, chipping and generation of fine powder at the time of transport and is excellent in melt moldability. The saponified ethylene-vinyl ester copolymer pellet of the invention is a pellet which is obtained from a resin composition containing a saponified ethylene-vinyl ester copolymer resin and in which an amount of fine powder after an impact crushing test with ball mill is 400 ppm or less with respect to the saponified ethylene-vinyl ester copolymer pellet.

  • Patent number: 9938030
Abstract: A method of transporting saponified ethylene-vinyl ester-based copolymer pellets by using a hermetic container including a pressurizing means for applying pressure to the interior of the container, and a transport means for transporting the hermetic container. The method comprises the steps of: inserting the saponified ethylene-vinyl ester-based copolymer pellets into the hermetic container to close the hermetic container; and maintaining the interior of the hermetic container in a state of higher pressure than the ambient atmosphere by using the pressurizing means while the hermetic container is transported to a destination by using the transport means.

  • Publication number: 20160176558
Abstract: There is provided a method of transporting saponified ethylene-vinyl ester-based copolymer pellets comprising maintaining an interior of a hermetic container in a state of higher pressure than ambient atmosphere during a transport of the saponified ethylene-vinyl ester-based copolymer pellets encased in the hermetic container. The method is capable of transporting dry saponified ethylene-vinyl ester-based copolymer pellets in large quantities at one time without the moisture absorption of the pellets in the course of the transport of the pellets.

  • Publication number: 20070029689
Abstract: A process for preparing a multilayer structure product in which it quickly becomes possible to obtain a satisfactory molded article after restarting the molding without using a special purging agent. In the process, which comprises feeding a saponified ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer and other resins to a melt-molding machine having a die to mold a multilayer structure product, the saponified ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer residing in the melt-molding machine is allowed to stand at a temperature lower by 0 to 100° C. than the melt-molding temperature throughout the period from a melt-molding process conducted for a certain time to restarting a melt-molding process.
