  • Publication number: 20090116653
Abstract: Stream audio signals input in channel input terminals (710FL, 710FR) of a large setting are passed through large high-bandpass filters (720) arranged identically to small high-bandpass filters (740) for extracting high-frequency components from stream audio signals input in channel input terminals (710C, 710SL, 710SR, 710SBL, 710SRB) of a small setting. The stream audio signals are also passed through large low-bandpass filters (730) for extracting low-frequency components blocked by the large high-bandpass filters (720). The extracted high-frequency components and the extracted low-frequency components are added together by large adders (780) so as to be output. Phases of the stream audio signals in different settings can be matched, thereby contributing to favorable reproduction.

  • Publication number: 20050041820
Abstract: First auxiliary speakers are mounted in the vehicle-passenger space with respect to main speakers providing for acoustic reproduction in the vehicle-passenger space. The first auxiliary speakers output sound in the same frequency band as that of sound outputted from the main speakers. Acoustic outputs of the first auxiliary speakers are set to make a sound pressure of the sound reaching a listener sit in the vehicle-passenger space from the first auxiliary speakers nearly equal to a sound pressure of the sound reaching the listener from the main speakers.

  • Publication number: 20050008171
Abstract: A controller (710) having recognized an output request for bass mood sounds in response to an input operation by the audience sets a prespecified low-pass filter (830) by switching a filter selecting section (840) and a bass sound processing switching section (870). The audio data inputted from input terminals (631) respectively is subjected to adjustment of the output level as well as to the effect processing, and then is passed through the prespecified low-pass filter (830) to adjust the output, and then is outputted from output terminals (638) corresponding to speakers (230) for bass mood sounds. Audio data outputted from other speakers (230) is subjected to output adjustment, and is subjected to the delay processing according to a delay time computed by the controller through an operational expression approximated with a quadratic expression for a cut-off frequency in the low-pass filter (830) to be outputted from the output terminals (638) corresponding to the speakers (230).

  • Patent number: 6804361
Abstract: In a sound signal playback machine and method thereof, predetermined high frequency components are extracted from sound signals SL to SC of a main channel by high frequency pass filters 21 to 25, and these high frequency components are respectively played back by speakers. At the same time, predetermined low frequency components are extracted from sound signals SL to SC of the main channel by low frequency pass filters. These low frequency components and sound signal SLFE exclusively used for the low frequency band are added to each other, and the thus obtained addition signal is played back by the speaker 66. In this case, the degree of the low frequency pass filters is set higher than the degree of the high frequency pass filters, and the high frequency component is delayed.
