  • Patent number: 8919874
Abstract: A vehicle seat component includes a cushion member, and an upholstery member that covers the cushion member. The cushion member and the upholstery member are integrated together during molding of the cushion member. The upholstery member has a first portion that is air-permeable and that is arranged at a seating side, and a second portion that is laminated on the first portion and that prevents intrusion of a molding material of the cushion member. A thin section that is recessed toward the upholstery member is formed in a back surface of the cushion member.

  • Patent number: 8827196
Abstract: When a gas generating member of a pretensioner mechanism is activated in case of vehicle collision, a piston inside a pipe cylinder is moved from normal state and a pinion gear body is rotated. Thus, the teeth of the pinion gear portion come in contact with a push block and pushes it in outward direction in conjunction with a force of a block urging spring, whereby a rotating lever is rotated by the push block and the lower end portion of the rotating lever gets disengaged from the tip end portion of a gear-side arm. As a result, the gear-side arm is rotated by an urging spring in outer direction and rotates a mechanical arm through a coupling shaft to make the pawl engage a ratchet gear of a take-up drum unit.

  • Patent number: 8596567
Abstract: In case a gas generating member of a pretensioner mechanism activates due to vehicle collision, a piston in a piston housing portion moves upwards from its normal position within a pipe cylinder. As a result, the piston comes in contact with a pinion gear portion and causes the pinion gear body to rotate abruptly. Further, a bottom end of a boss portion constituting one end portion of the pinion gear body is rotatably supported at a through hole of a base plate. Further, a support portion constituting the other end portion of the pinion gear body is rotatably supported at a support hole of a cover plate.

  • Patent number: 8540178
Abstract: When a pinion gear body (33) rotates co-axially with rotational axis of the take-up drum (6), a first rotation body (76) which is fixed to the pinion gear body co-axially rotates relatively to a second rotation body (77) which is mounted to the pinion gear body co-axially, as well, and does not rotate during initial rotation of the pinion gear body. Thereby, an engagement member (29) which is rotatably supported by the first rotation body and fitted to the first and second rotation bodies protrudes radially and outwardly. The engagement member that has thus projected gets engaged with the take-up drum. In this stage, the engagement member is pressed and moved by a guiding portion of the second rotation body in response to the relative rotation so as to be guided in an outward radial direction.
