  • Publication number: 20020192490
Abstract: A sliding bearing being improved in resistance to seizure under a high bearing pressure condition, the bearing having a lining of a copper alloy in which Ag and Sn are preset as additive metals in solid solution state and form a hexagonal compound or an eutectic between themselves or with Cu The improved bearing has a back metal having, adhered thereon, a copper alloy wherein 0.1 to 2 wt. % of Ag and 1 to 10 wt. % of Sn are present as essential metal components and the residue is composed essentially of Cu, and a surface obtained by covering a roughened surface, which is positioned on the opposite side to said back metal of copper alloy and has a roughness (R z) of about 0.5 to about 10% mgr m with an overlay of a thermosetting resin, such as a polyimide resin, a polyamideimide resin, an epoxy resin and a phenol resin, containing MoS 2 in an amount of 55 to 90 wt %.

  • Publication number: 20020038864
Abstract: The present invention provides a method of manufacturing an exfoliated graphite/phenol resin composite foam of a porosity of 50-95%, a density of 0.1-0.8 g/cm3, by forming under contact pressure or reduced pressure at a temperature of 140-200° C. a mixture comprising 100 parts by weight of powdered and/or crushed exfoliated graphite and 40-240 parts by weight of phenol resin; an exfoliated graphite/phenol resin composite foam obtained by the method; and a method of obtaining an exfoliated graphite/glassy carbon composite foam of a porosity of 50-95%, a density 0.1-0.8 g/cm3 with volumetric baking shrinkage of 10% or less by baking the exfoliated graphite/phenol resin composite foam.

  • Patent number: 6192784
Abstract: The invention is related to a swash plate compressor in which the wear resistance and the lubricating ability of the surfaces of the swash plate which are in contact with the shoes can be enhanced and maintained for a long period of time. In the swash plate compressor, a soft surface coating 21 is formed on sliding surfaces of any of a swash plate or shoes and the coarseness at ten point mean roughness of the surface of the substrate is made to be 8 &mgr;mRz or less, and preferably 5 &mgr;mRz or less, and more preferably 3 &mgr;mRz or less. Even if the soft surface coating 21 is partially worn or exfoliated by a sliding load, since the temperature of the soft surface coating 21 is increased by frictional heat and the soft surface coating 21 is fluidized, the worn or exfoliated portions are repaired. The soft surface coating 21 is preferably composed of a coating layer containing molybdenum disulfide.

  • Patent number: 6123009
Abstract: A swash plate of a swash-plate compressor is subjected to sliding on shoes and is required to have excellent seizure resistance and wear resistance under the dry lubricating condition. The swash plate according to the present invention is provided with the surface-treated layer, i,e., the intermediate layer consisting of Cu, Sn or metal phosphate, and a sliding contact layer consisting of MoS.sub.2 and/or graphite and thermosetting resin.

  • Patent number: 6026263
Abstract: A developing device having a container including a pair of side walls disposed with spacing, an entry port and a delivery port defined between the side walls, and a main wall extending between the entry port and the delivery port. A rotating shaft is rotatably mounted between the pair of side walls of the container, and agitator/conveyor means is mounted on the rotating shaft. A blind hole circular in cross section is formed at an inner surface of one of the side walls, and one end portion of the rotating shaft is rotatably inserted into the blind hole. At least one discharge groove is formed at an outer peripheral surface of the one end portion of the rotating shaft. The agitator/conveyor means is composed of a flexible agitating/conveying member extending from the rotating shaft in a radial direction of the rotating shaft.
