  • Patent number: 8720212
Abstract: When a compressor is in a stopped state and an outside air temperature change rate Tah exceeds zero, a first heating operation is started, and a heating capacity of a compressor heating portion is set in a range not more than a heating capacity upper limit Pmax based on the outside air temperature change rate Tah. A remaining refrigerant liquid amount Ms condensed in the compressor that had not been evaporated is acquired based on the outside air temperature change rate Tah and the heating capacity. If the outside air temperature change rate Tah is zero or below and the remaining refrigerant liquid amount Ms exceeds zero while the compressor is in a stopped state, a second heating operation is started, the compressor heating portion 10 is controlled based on the remaining refrigerant liquid amount Ms, and the refrigerant condensed in the compressor 1 is evaporated.

  • Publication number: 20130305760
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to efficiently heat a refrigerant retained in a compressor. An inverter control unit generates six drive signals corresponding to the respective switching elements of the inverter, and outputs the generated drive signals to the corresponding switching elements of the inverter to cause the inverter to generate a high-frequency AC voltage. Particularly, the inverter control unit generates a drive signal having a switching pattern A for turning on all the three switching elements on a positive voltage side or a negative voltage side of the inverter, and subsequent thereto, generates a drive signal having a switching pattern B for turning on two switching elements of the three switching elements and turning off one switching element thereof.

  • Publication number: 20130291578
Abstract: A voltage-command correction-value computation unit outputs a correction value for correcting a voltage command value according to a bus voltage. A multiplier calculates a voltage command value acquired by correcting the voltage command value based on the correction value. A voltage-command generation unit generates and outputs three-phase voltage command values based on the corrected voltage command value calculated by the multiplier and a phase. A PWM-signal generation unit generates six drive signals corresponding to switching elements of an inverter based on the three-phase voltage command values outputted by the voltage-command generation unit and a carrier signal. The PWM-signal generation unit outputs the generated drive signals to the corresponding switching elements of the three-phase inverter, to cause the inerter to generate a high-frequency AC voltage.

  • Publication number: 20130269370
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to maintain a heating amount constant when a compressor is heated at the time of shutdown of the compressor, regardless of the influences of production tolerance and environment variations. An inverter control unit causes an inverter to generate a high-frequency AC voltage having a de-energized section in which a voltage applied from the inverter to a motor is zero between a section in which the voltage is positive and a section in which the voltage is negative. At this time, the inverter control unit detects a value of a current flowing to the inverter in a detection section residing from immediately before a start of the de-energized section to immediately after an end of the de-energized section, and causes the inverter to generate a high-frequency AC voltage adjusted according to the detected current value.

  • Patent number: 5930949
Abstract: The germination of seeds is improved by treating the seeds with a solid-form super absorbent polymer that has absorbed water. Super absorbent polymer particles that contain an amount of water such as about 5 to 7 times their weight that is significantly less than the amount of water they are able to absorb such as about 80-120 times their weight and do not substantially adhere to each other are mixed with seeds to form a mixture that may contain a volume ratio of seeds to polymer particles of 0.2 to 5:1. The mixture is stirred while supplying air or gaseous oxygen into the mixture for a time and at a temperature sufficient to cause the seeds to imbibe sufficient water to enhance their vigor for sprouting, but insufficient to cause sprouting. The mixture is sieved to obtain seeds having essentially no adhering polymer residue of the particles, after which the seeds may be dried. The polymer particles may be spherical, and before absorbing water have a size of 50 to 300 .mu.m.
