Publication number: 20060109565Abstract: A front lens group 1 and a rear lens group 2 having a diameter of about 5 mm held inside a cylindrical body 5 are capable of movement in the forward and backward directions via a front group movable body 3 and a rear group movable body 4, respectively. An image taking element such as a CCD is arranged at a prescribed position behind the cylindrical body. By setting the distance from each lens group to the CCD and the distance between both lens groups, an image is formed at a prescribed zoom on the CCD. From the 1× base state when the zoom magnification is made ?×??×??×, the positional relationship between the front lens group and the rear lens group becomes as shown in FIG. 1(b)˜(d). The two kinds of zoom magnification 1× and ?× can be switched by fixing the front lens group and moving only the rear lens group back and forth between positions.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 20, 2003Publication date: May 25, 2006Applicant: FDK CorporationInventors: Kazuyuki Watanabe, Haruhiro Komura, Shinya Yamauchi, Tetsutaka Yamamoto, Nobuyuki Sueyoshi, Masatoshi Kazimoto

Patent number: 6671400Abstract: A system permitting one or more users to navigate a wide-angle image, and in particular a panoramic image, using a neural network to correct distortion in that image. To train the neural network, a calibration pattern which defines an array of calibration points is disposed to occupy a field of view of a wide-angle imaging apparatus, and a calibration image is thereby captured by the apparatus. Respective view directions of the calibration points and the positions of these points in the calibration image are used as data for training the neural network to correctly match view directions to corresponding intra-image positions.Type: GrantFiled: October 26, 2000Date of Patent: December 30, 2003Assignee: Tateyama R & D Co., Ltd.Inventors: Frank Edughom Ekpar, Shinya Yamauchi

Patent number: 4509905Abstract: A compressor includes a rotor with slidable vanes, a cylinder receiving the rotor and vanes and side plates fixed to opposite sides of the cylinder. A suction stream intercepting section is provided in the suction passage between adjacent vane chambers from the supply of refrigerant. The rotary compressor has no loss of refrigeration cooling ability at low speed operation and refrigeration cooling is restrained only at high speed operation.Type: GrantFiled: June 27, 1983Date of Patent: April 9, 1985Assignee: Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd.Inventors: Teruo Maruyama, Shinya Yamauchi

Patent number: 4486158Abstract: A sliding vane type rotary compressor, of which refrigerating capacity at the high speed operation of the compressor is suppressed by making use of suction loss involved when refrigerant pressure in the vane chamber becomes lower than the pressure of the refrigerant supply source in the suction stroke of the compressor. The compressor has a rotor, vanes slidably carried by the rotor, a cylinder accommodating the rotor and the vane, side plates fixed to both sides of the cylinder for closing both open ends of the vane chambers defined by the rotor, vanes and the cylinder, and suction and discharge ports serving as passages for communicating the vane chambers with the outside of the compressor. A spacer for adjustment of the refrigerating capacity is disposed in the suction port.Type: GrantFiled: January 29, 1982Date of Patent: December 4, 1984Assignee: Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd.Inventors: Teruo Maruyama, Shinya Yamauchi, Nobuo Kagoroku

Patent number: 4459090Abstract: A compressor adapted for capacity control includes a rotor mounting thereon vanes slidably, a cylinder receiving therein the rotor and the vanes, side plates secured to the opposite sides of the cylinder, a vane chamber defined by the vane, rotor and the cylinder and closed at its sides by the side plates, suction ports and a discharge port. Suction loss produced when the pressure within the vane chamber becomes below the pressure of the refrigerant supply source during a suction stroke is utilized for suppressing the refrigerating capacity of the compressor at high speed operation. With the arrangement of the compressor, the effective area of the flow passage leading to the vane chamber from the suction ports varies in at least two stages such that it becomes smaller in the latter half of the suction stroke than in the former half thereof. Thus, in the compressor, driving torque can be reduced at low speed operation and adequate effects of capacity control can be obtained at high speed operation.Type: GrantFiled: April 15, 1982Date of Patent: July 10, 1984Assignee: Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd.Inventors: Teruo Maruyama, Shinya Yamauchi, Nobuo Kagoroku, Yoshikazu Abe

Patent number: 4415320Abstract: A sliding vane type rotary compressor having a rotor, at least one vane slidably mounted on the rotor, a cylinder accomodating the rotor and the vane, and end plates fixed to both ends of the cylinder so as to close vane chambers defined by the vane, the rotor and the cylinder at both sides of the vane chamber. The improvement comprises that the compressor is constructed to meet the following condition:0.025<.theta..sub.s a/Vo<0.080where, a is a value given by the following equation of: ##EQU1## .theta. represents the angle (radian) formed around the center of rotation of the rotor between the end of the vane closer to the cylinder and the cylinder top where the distance between the inner peripheral surface of the cylinder and the outer peripheral surface of the rotor is smallest;.theta..sub.s represents the rotation angle .theta. (radian) at the instant of completion of the suction stroke;Vo represents the volume (cc) of the vane chamber when the rotation angle .theta. is .theta..sub.s ; anda(.theta.Type: GrantFiled: July 13, 1981Date of Patent: November 15, 1983Assignee: Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd.Inventors: Teruo Maruyama, Shinya Yamauchi, Shiro Yamamura, Yoshiyuki Morikawa

Patent number: 4413963Abstract: This invention relates to a compressor controllable in capacity, and more particularly to a compressor comprising a rotor having vanes slidably fitted thereto, a cylinder for receiving the rotor and vanes, side plates rigid on both sides of the cylinder and enclosing a space of a vane chamber defined by the vanes, rotor and cylinder at the sides thereof, and inlet and outlet ports each serving as a passage to communicate the vane chamber with the exterior, wherein the cylinder is oriented to have its top portion where a distance between the outer periphery of the rotor and the inner periphery of the cylinder becomes minimum. The improvement according to this invention is in that the inlet port is positioned so as to make a(.theta.) almost constant, or meet a(.theta.)=a, in a range of 1/2.theta..sub.s <.theta..ltoreq..theta..sub.s and parameters of the compressor are determined to meet the following relation;0.025<.theta..sub.s a/V.sub.o <0.080where,.theta.Type: GrantFiled: January 22, 1982Date of Patent: November 8, 1983Assignee: Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd.Inventors: Teruo Maruyama, Shinya Yamauchi, Yoshikazu Abe
