The side cover is fastened to a body frame through a front fastening portion, a rear fastening portion, and an intermediate fastening portion positioned between the front and rear fastening portions. A shroud is arranged at a front portion of the side cover. The shroud includes an inner shroud supported by the body frame, and an outer shroud supported by the side cover. In such straddle type vehicle, the shroud can be fastened to a body frame through less number of fastening points.
