  • Publication number: 20230373212
Abstract: A liquid discharge head includes a piezoelectric element and a flexible circuit board to supply a driving signal and a common-electrode signal to the piezoelectric element. The piezoelectric element includes multiple drive portions arranged in a first direction; multiple non-drive portions; and multiple dummy drive portions at each portion between the multiple drive portions and the multiple non-drive portions in the first direction; a first electrode configured to supply the driving signal to the multiple drive portions; and a second electrode configured to supply the common-electrode signal to the multiple drive portions. The flexible circuit board includes a third electrode configured to supply the common-electrode signal to the multiple drive portions. Each of the multiple non-drive portions and the multiple dummy drive portions include a common-electrode joint connected to the third electrode of the flexible circuit board.

  • Patent number: 11400715
Abstract: A liquid discharge head includes nozzles, pressure chambers, a common supply channel, a common collection channel, and an air chamber. The nozzles are configured to discharge liquid. The pressure chambers are communicated with the nozzles, respectively. The common supply channel is communicated with the pressure chambers. The common supply channel includes a displaceable first region in a part of a wall of the common supply channel. The common collection channel is communicated with the pressure chambers. The common collection channel includes a displaceable second region in a part of a wall of the common collection channel. The air chamber faces a surface of the first region and a surface of the second region. The surface of the first region is opposite the wall of the common supply channel. The surface of the second region is opposite the wall of the common collection channel.

  • Patent number: 11273643
Abstract: A liquid discharge head includes a nozzle from which a liquid is discharged, a pressure chamber communicating with the nozzle, to which the liquid is supplied, a dummy channel not communicating with the nozzle and adjacent to the pressure chamber, the dummy channel being a sealed place to which the liquid is not supplied, and a diaphragm configured to define a displaceable wall of the pressure chamber and a wall of the dummy channel. The wall of the dummy channel defined by the diaphragm includes a through hole.

  • Patent number: 11230102
Abstract: A liquid discharge head includes a nozzle plate, a channel plate, a common channel substrate, and a wall member. The nozzle plate includes a plurality of nozzles configured to discharge liquid. The channel plate includes a plurality of pressure chambers communicated with the nozzles, respectively. The common channel substrate includes a common channel communicated with the pressure chambers. The wall member includes a deformable region in a part of a wall surface of the common channel. The channel plate and the common channel substrate are disposed with the wall member interposed between the channel plate and the common channel substrate. The channel plate includes an air chamber facing the deformable region. The channel plate includes a bridge portion partially dividing the air chamber in a nozzle arrangement direction in which the nozzles are arranged. The bridge portion is not in contact with the wall member and the nozzle plate.
