  • Patent number: 11958183
Abstract: Effective human-robot collaboration (HRC) requires extensive communication among the human and robot teammates, because their actions can potentially produce conflicts, synergies, or both. An augmented reality-driven, negotiation-based (ARN) framework is provided for HRC, where ARN supports planning-phase negotiations within human-robot teams. Experiments in an office environment, where multiple mobile robots work on delivery tasks, where the robots could not complete the tasks on their own, but sometimes need help from their human teammate, making human-robot collaboration necessary. In comparison to a non-AR baseline, ARN significantly improved the human users' work efficiency, and their cognitive load, while reducing the overall task completion time of the whole team.

  • Publication number: 20240092438
Abstract: A tunnel operation robot includes a robot body, a walking module, a fixed wing module and a plurality of rotatable wing modules. Both sides of the robot body are provided with cantilever parts, which are collinearly arranged. The walking module is arranged on the robot body. The fixed wing module includes a fixed fan, is fixedly arranged on the robot body, and is configured to provide a pressure for the walking module to be attached to and pressed against the tunnel wall surface. The plurality of rotatable wing modules are respectively arranged on the cantilever parts on both sides of the robot body, and include a rotatable rotating fan and a wind direction adjustment driver. Each rotating fan has a rotation axis parallel to the cantilever parts and an air outlet direction perpendicular to the cantilever parts, and the wind direction adjustment driver is connected to the rotating fan.

  • Publication number: 20240083832
Abstract: A method for preparing acetic acid by catalyst including the following steps is provided, S1. preparing the hydrotalcite carrier by hydrothermal method; S2. ion exchange; S3. liquid phase reduction; S4. placing the CoPd/LDH catalyst obtained in S3 in a two-channel fixed bed step-by-step continuous reactor, carrying out the reaction at 100-400° C. and 0.1-20 MPa, synthesizing acetic acid by alternating feeding of CH4+H2+H2O and CO2+H2+H2O, with the alternating time of 50-300 s. The present invention replaces the traditional process of acetic acid production including the steps of methane and carbon dioxide reforming to produce syngas. The process flow is short, the reaction conditions are mild, and the energy consumption and cost are greatly reduced.

  • Publication number: 20240087083
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for scalable compression of a digital image. The method contains the steps of extracting from the image semantic information at a semantic layer, extracting from the image structure information at a structure layer, extracting from the image signal information at a signal layer; and compressing each one of the semantic information, the structure information, and the signal information into a bitstream. A novel scalable cross-modality image compression is therefore provided where a wide spectrum of novel functionalities have been enabled, making the codec versatile for applications ranging from semantic understanding to signal-level reconstruction.

  • Patent number: 11917196
Abstract: A video processing method includes performing a conversion between a video comprising multiple video units and a coded representation of the video in which the multiple video units are processed in an order, where, when a video unit of the multiple video units is processed in the conversion, one or more frequence tables and/or one or more sorted intra prediction mode (IPM) tables are reset or initialized, where the one or more frequence tables include information about frequence of one or more intra prediction modes used for processing previous video units in the multiple video units, where the previous video units precede in time the video unit, where the frequence indicates an occurrence of the one or more intra prediction modes used for the conversion, and where the one or more sorted IPM tables indicate the one or more intra prediction modes used in the processing.

  • Publication number: 20230349435
Abstract: The present application provides a composite brake disc, the preparation method thereof and a friction stir tool. The composite brake disc comprises: an aluminum alloy base layer, and an aluminum matrix composite layer, where the aluminum alloy base layer and the aluminum matrix composite layer are bonded with each other through metallurgical bonding. A transition layer is formed at the boundary surface where the aluminum alloy base layer and the aluminum matrix composite layer are bonded with each other. A reinforced structure connecting the aluminum alloy base layer and the aluminum matrix composite layer is formed in the transition layer.

  • Publication number: 20220306152
Abstract: Autonomous vehicles need to plan at the task level to compute a sequence of symbolic actions, such as merging left and turning right, to fulfill people's service requests, where efficiency is the main concern. At the same time, the vehicles must compute continuous trajectories to perform actions at the motion level, where safety is the most important. Task-motion planning in autonomous driving faces the problem of maximizing task-level efficiency while ensuring motion-level safety. To this end, we develop algorithm Task-Motion Planning for Urban Driving (TMPUD) that, for the first time, enables the task and motion planners to communicate about the safety level of driving behaviors. TMPUD has been evaluated using a realistic urban driving simulation platform. Results suggest that TMPUD performs significantly better than competitive baselines from the literature in efficiency, while ensuring the safety of driving behaviors.

  • Publication number: 20210192503
Abstract: Implementations of the present specification disclose a payment method, apparatus, and device. In the case of face-to-face payment, the location information and the payment information are sent to the server through the terminal device of the first user, and the server generates a corresponding payment password and returns the corresponding payment password to the first user. The first user then forwards the payment password (for example, verbally, or forwarding using communication software, etc.) to the second user, and the second user then uploads the location and payment password of the second user to the server. The server performs matching or querying within a certain range based on the location of the second user, to determine whether a same payment password exists. If the matching or query is successful, payment is made.
