  • Patent number: 8933280
Abstract: The present invention provides continuous, gas phase, free radical processes for the production of chlorinated and/or fluorinated propenes or higher alkenes from the reaction of chlorinated and/or fluorinated alkanes and chlorinated and/or fluorinated alkenes, wherein wherein at least a portion of any intermediate boiler by-products generated by the process are removed from the process.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 4, 2013
Date of Patent: January 13, 2015
    Assignee: Dow Global Technologies LLC

  • Patent number: 8926918
Abstract: The present invention provides isothermal multitube reactors suitable for the production of chlorinated and/or fluorinated propene and higher alkenes from the reaction of chlorinated and/or fluorinated alkanes and chlorinated and/or fluorinated alkenes. The reactors utilize a feed mixture inlet temperature at least 20° C. different from a desired reaction temperature.

  • Publication number: 20060092383
Abstract: A proximity sensor disposed in an information handling system projector detects external hazards to the operation of the projector to allow corrective action that addresses the hazard. For instance, an RF, IR or reflective sensor located proximate the projector lens detects an object positioned to block illumination from the lens. Objects that block illumination at a location proximate the focal point of the lens present a fire or overheating hazard that results in corrective action, such as dimming the projector lamp, powering down the projector lamp, playing an audible warning and displaying a visible warning.
