Patent number: 7419306Abstract: Emergence of fretting worn powder is to be suppressed, and intrusion of the worn powder that has emerged into an internal area of the bearing. A ring spacer is interposed between an end face of an inner ring of the bearing to be mounted on a wheel axle, and an end face of a rear cover (ring member) to be mounted on the wheel axle for axial positioning of the inner race with respect to the wheel axle. An elastic seal ring is integrally fixed to an outer periphery of the ring spacer. The elastic seal ring is elastically fitted to an outer circumference of a recessed stepped portion formed on the end face of the rear cover. The elastic seal ring is thus pressed against the opposing end faces of the inner race and the rear cover. Inside the elastic seal ring, a storage space for the worn powder is provided.Type: GrantFiled: May 9, 2005Date of Patent: September 2, 2008Assignee: NTN CorporationInventors: Daisuke Miki, Shiro Ishikawa

Publication number: 20080118195Abstract: The rotation state of the bearing such as vibration is accurately sensed. A plural of rollers rollably retained with a retainer are accommodated between an inner ring and an outer ring, and a sensor for sensing the rotation state of the bearing is directly attached to the outer ring. More specifically, the outer ring, having a housing attached to its outside diameter upper part, includes a radially protruding projection in the outside diameter lower part, and the sensor is attached to the end surface of the projection.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 18, 2005Publication date: May 22, 2008Inventors: Shiro Ishikawa, Yukihiro Takeda

Publication number: 20050252177Abstract: A ceramic filter capable of burning combustible microparticles contained in smoke, without these escaping, and a smoke treatment device using the same are provided. A resin foam to which a ceramic slurry has been applied is fired so as to produce a porous ceramic body having a three-dimensional reticulate structure, at the interior of which is provided a linear electric heating element made of tungsten or the like, to produce a ceramic filter. The ceramic filter is disposed in a duct and a fan is provided so as to draw smoke from the exterior into this duct. Within the duct, a sprinkler pipe for dispersing water is connected downstream of the point at which the ceramic filter is disposed.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 12, 2004Publication date: November 17, 2005Inventor: Shiro Ishikawa

Patent number: 6547443Abstract: A tapered roller bearing comprises inner and outer and outer rings having raceways, a large flange surface and a small flange surface, tapered rollers between the raceways and each having large and small end faces at the ends, and a retainer for the tapered rollers. The average roughness of the large end faces and the large flange surface is 0.14 &mgr;m Ra or less. The radius of curvature of the large end faces is 75 to 85% of the roller reference radius, and the central angle of the contact positions between the tapered rollers and the large flange surface is {fraction (1/15)} to {fraction (1/10)} of the roller angle. The center of the contact surface between the tapered rollers and the raceways is offset toward the large end faces from the center of the rolling surfaces of the tapered rollers by 10% or less of the effective length of the tapered rollers.Type: GrantFiled: October 16, 2001Date of Patent: April 15, 2003Assignee: NTN CorporationInventors: Kimihiro Hanai, Takashi Tsujimoto, Tsukasa Yamakawa, Yasuhiro Shimizu, Shiro Ishikawa

Publication number: 20020141673Abstract: A compact rolling bearing with a rotation sensor is proposed which has a shortened axial length of a housing for mounting the rotation sensor. The rolling bearing comprises a rotating bearing ring and a fixed bearing ring, and the rotation sensor comprises a rotating element mounted to the rotating bearing ring and a detecting element mounted on the fixed bearing ring so as to oppose the rotating element, and an electric circuit board. The electric circuit board has a flexibility. With this arrangement, it is possible to mount the electric circuit board in a curved state in a limited space on a peripheral wall of the sensor housing, and thus to shorten the axial length of the sensor housing. This provides a compact rolling bearing with the rotation sensor. Another embodiment has a magnetic encoder, the binder for which is heat-resistant nitrile rubber, fluorine rubber or silicone rubber.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 26, 2002Publication date: October 3, 2002Inventors: Hiroyoshi Ito, Shiro Ishikawa, Yasuhiro Shimizu, Ken Horiuchi, Masanori Ueno, Ryusuke Katsumata
