  • Patent number: 4260492
Abstract: A rotary diaphragm press comprises a revolving drum on the periphery of which a tubular diaphragm is mounted, an endless belt assembly which consists of a cover cloth, a filter cloth, and a back-up belt separately extended and arranged one above the other over said revolving drum, and a series of receiving rollers disposed in parallel with a spindle for said revolving drum so as to press the endless belt assembly against the drum in a contact zone of the assembly. The rotary diaphragm press is further designed so that sludge successively fed to the filter cloth is held between the filter cloth and the cover cloth and is passed through the contact zone.

  • Patent number: 4259559
Abstract: An illuminated push-button switch assembly has a casing slidably mounting a manipulation member provided at its exterior end with an indicating plate. A light source is mounted in the casing to illuminate the indicating plate. The switch assembly further has shutter means constituted by a filter member and a drive member. The filter member is rotatably supported at its one end on the casing, while the filter member is rotatably supported at its intermediate portion by the manipulation member. The free end of the drive member is engageable with the filter member at the portion of the latter near the axis of rotation. As the slider is moved by manual operation of the manipulation member, the drive member is rotated to cause a rotation of the filter, so that the state of illumination of the indicating plate is changed in accordance with the state of the push-button switch.

  • Patent number: 4225758
Abstract: A switch suitable for use in digital clocks for automobiles comprises a case and a plurality of fixed terminals secured within the case. A contact member movable axially or rotatably by a shaft has a plurality of contact elements. A first spring member operates to return the contact member to its initial position after it has been rotated to effect a switching function and a second spring returns the contact to its initial axial position after the contact member has been moved axially to effect a switching function. The switch can thus provide any of these switching functions by being operated by rotating the shaft in either of two directions, or by axially moving the shaft.

  • Patent number: 4210094
Abstract: A radio tuner for detachably coupling with a cassette tape recorder is disclosed, and forms a radio set when connected with a source battery, an amplifier and a loudspeaker contained within the recorder. The tuner has a casing which is molded from a synthetic resin material and which receives a bar antenna for reception of AM broadcasts. One of the sidewalls of the tuner casing, located at right angles to its mating surface with the recorder, has a rod antenna for reception of an FM broadcast mounted thereon, while a knob associated with a station selecting dial is mounted on the other sidewall. The dial is located on one of the major surfaces of the tuner casing, and is coupled with the knob through a fastening string which is caused to run in mutually perpendicular directions by means of a diverting member having a pair of string engaging portions.
