  • Patent number: 7107607
Abstract: In an image data communication system, a digital image recording apparatus captures a desired still image or moving video image. For a color still image, the digital image recording apparatus compresses the image based on JPEG to create a color GIF (graphics interchange format) file. This file is converted to image data having an amount of data which can be processed with a portable telephone or a portable information terminal. An image sender transfers the image data generated from the digital image recording apparatus to an image distribution server. The image distribution server records the image data in an internal recording apparatus and notifies a recipient that the image is ready for distribution by sending, for example, an e-mail message to the portable telephone or the portable information terminal.

  • Patent number: 7027086
Abstract: When an animation mode is designated, still picture data that has been photographed or discretely read from a record medium is compressed in a subtractive color process and a data compressing process corresponding to the LZW method. The compressed data is converted into an animation GIF file of which still picture data is combined in the time sequence and it is correlatively displayed on the time base. When an animation mode completion command is input or the size of the GIF file becomes a recordable size of the external storage medium 8, the GIF file data is written to the external storage medium 8. In addition, after a photographed still picture is recorded to the external storage medium 8, an animation can be created. In addition, an animation GIF file can be created using a plurality of still pictures recorded in the external storage medium 8. In addition, an animation GIF file that has been created can be edited.

  • Patent number: 6763182
Abstract: Digital data of plural categories need to be reproduced chronologically in a simplified manner. A memory card can be mounted on or dismounted from a digital camera device and records the digital data of plural categories. The data of the respective categories are stored under a dedicated sub-directory. In recording, the digital camera device generates serial numbers in the data recording sequence, without dependency upon the categories, and records the digital data with the filename including the serial number. In reproduction, the digital data is reproduced in the sequence of the serial numbers included in the filename without dependency upon the categories.

  • Patent number: 5809207
Abstract: An apparatus and method for recording and/or reproducing a digital signal. An input digital signal is received and processed by a recording processing device so as to form a recording signal. The recording signal may be recorded onto and reproduced from a recording medium. The reproduced signal may be processed by a reproducing processing device so as to form an output signal. Processing performed by the reproducing processing device may be controlled by a clock signal provided by a phase-locked loop (PLL) circuit. The PLL circuit respectively receives the recording and reproduced signals when the apparatus is operating in a recording mode and a reproducing mode, and generates the clock signal therefrom. Alternatively, instead of the recording signal, the PLL circuit may receive a leakage current when the apparatus is operating in the recording mode. In this latter situation, the PLL circuit generates the clock signal from the leakage current and the reproduced signal.

  • Patent number: 5767714
Abstract: A PLL circuit which is used as a reproducing clock forming circuit of a digital signal reproducing apparatus. The PLL circuit is strong against noises and has stable characteristics. Comparison outputs of a phase comparator 3 are outputted in a form of balance (differential) signals and are supplied to a loop filer 4. Output signals of the loop filter 4 are supplied to control voltage input terminals of a VCO 5 in a form of the balance signals. In-phase components of the noises included in control voltages can be cancelled. Time constants of the loop filter can be switched by bipolar transistors Tr31 and Tr32. A balance of the balance signals is not broken by base currents of the transistors Tr31 and Tr32.
