  • Patent number: 5198192
Abstract: A urine detection device is disposed to a urine receiving surface of a toilet stool in which urine, diluting water and reagent are mixed by vertically moving a piston in the cylinder of the detection device, the reaction between them is detected by an electrode and the ingredient in urine is detected. Liquid in the cylinder is stirred by a stirring device to blown air into the reagent reservoir, by which oxygen is dissolved in the reagent. Cleaning liquid is sprayed from the nozzle to the electrode for flushing. An opening is disposed to a supporting wall of the toilet stool, through which the cylinder is detached or attached. The electrode is disposed such that its rear end is directed to the opening and detached or attached through the opening.

  • Patent number: 5119829
Abstract: An apparatus for examining urine for certain constituents thereof includes a vertically disposed cylinder for receiving urine therein. The cylinder includes a diametrically enlarged upper portion having an inside diameter which is larger than that of its remaining portion. A piston is vertically movably disposed in the cylinder. If the piston is lowered, urine can be stored in the cylinder. If it is raised, the urine is discharged from the cylinder, except that only a small portion thereof remains in a clearance defined between the piston and the diametrically enlarged portion of the cylinder. If the piston is lowered again, a reagent and water are supplied into the cylinder and mixed with the urine remaining therein. An electrode is connected to the cylinder for determining the concentration of sugar, etc. in the urine which has been mixed with the reagent and water.

  • Patent number: 4920836
Abstract: This invention relates to an impulse wrench which has two blades but generates only one impact pulse on the main shaft per one rotation of a liner. In this invention, a liner has at least four seals and a main shaft has at least two seals. And the shape of both or one of the two seals out of at least two seals of main shaft is other than a linear shape parallel to the axial center. If both of said two seals of main shaft are in said shape, two of at least four seals of liner are in the same shape. The other seals of liner are in a linear shape parallel to the axial center. If one of said two seals of main shaft is in said shape, one of at least four seals of liner is in the same shape as this. All of the other seals of liner are in a linear shape parallel to the axial center. In this way, said two seals of liner and said two seals of main shaft coincide with each other only once per one rotation of the liner.

  • Patent number: 4775499
Abstract: A gas-liquid contacting apparatus according to the present invention comprises a gas channel, a blowing device, a screen, a liquid feeding device and a pump. The screen is supplied continuously with liquid by means of the pump and the liquid dosing device, forming liquid film in intervals where gas passes through all the time. Gas fed out of the blowing device breaks through said liquid film or screen. In this moment, the gas-liquid contact is completed as the specific components contained in the gas are chemically decomposed and removed, being diffused in liquid. The liquid film is broken and re-formed repeatedly while the gas flows.
