  • Patent number: 10449860
Abstract: A cooling apparatus may be configured to cool a device mounted in a vehicle. The cooling apparatus may include: a pump configured to circulate a refrigerant between the device and a radiator, and a controller configured to provide an output command value to the pump, and to monitor occurrence of abnormality of the pump. The controller may be configured capable of executing: vehicle-speed-based control including shifting the output command value when a vehicle speed falls below a predetermined vehicle speed threshold value; and monitoring control including: measuring an abnormality duration time during which a rotational speed of the pump is deviating from a predetermined allowable range; and outputting a notification signal notifying the abnormality of the pump when the measured abnormality duration time exceeds a predetermined time threshold value. While the controller is measuring the abnormality duration time in the monitoring control, the controller may inhibit the vehicle-speed-based control.

  • Patent number: 6710479
Abstract: Cooling oil passes through a cooling oil passage (28) on the inside of an iron core (7), and cools the inside of the iron core (7). Further, cooling air passes through a cooling air passage (31) in the inside of the iron core (7) and a clearance (5) between the internal periphery of the iron core (7) and the external periphery of a rotor (4), and cools the inside of the iron core (7) and the rotor (4). Therefore, it is possible to effectively cool the internal periphery side of a stator (6) and the rotor (4). When a cooling oil is sprayed from the cooling oil passage (28) into the cooling air passage (31), it is possible to obtain a more effective cooling effect by utilizing the latent heat of vaporization of the mist of the cooling oil.

  • Patent number: 6437426
Abstract: In a semiconductor integrated circuit, a ground plane conductor 3 is formed in a substrate 9 to oppose to a conducting line 2 formed on the substrate, so as to form a microstrip line. A decoupling capacitor 1 is provided on the substrate 9 and is electrically connected between the conducting line 2 and the ground plane conductor 3 so as to bypass a high frequency current component flowing through the conducting line to the ground plane conductor. Thus, the impedance of the conducting line 2 is stabilized, and a path of a feedback current of a high frequency current component flowing through the conducting line 2 is ensured by the ground plane conductor 3, so that a current loop is minimized, resulting in minimized electromagnetic noises radiated from the current loop.

  • Patent number: 6075211
Abstract: There is provided a multi-layered printed wiring board including a power supply layer, a ground layer, a signal layer, and insulators sandwiched between those layers. The power supply layer is provided with a circuit in the form of wirings for imparting impedance thereto. For instance, the power supply layer may be formed to include main wirings for distributing a dc current entirely to the printed wiring board with a dc voltage drop being depressed, and branch wirings for enhancing high frequency impedance to isolate circuits in terms of high frequency, which circuits are mounted on the multi-layered printed wiring board and operated independently with each other. The invention makes it possible to provide a relatively great inductance to thereby decrease high frequency power supply current which is generated on IC/LSI operation and is to flow into decoupling capacitors.

  • Patent number: 5978231
Abstract: An insulative magnetic layer is disposed between a power source conductor layer and a ground conductor layer of a printed-wiring board. Two pieces of conductors are formed by cutting out a part of the power source conductor layer. Another two pieces of conductors are formed by cutting out a part of the ground conductor layer. The former conductors and the latter conductors are connected by five viaholes. A spiral coil inductor of a spiral form is formed in this way. This inductor has the strengthened inductance owing to the insulative magnetic layer provided therein.

  • Patent number: 5008764
Abstract: A rotary head type digital signal reproducing apparatus controls tracking of rotary magnetic heads based on tracking reference signals obtained in an end portion of a first scan and in a beginning portion of a second scan immediately after the first scan, out of successive first through fourth scans made by the rotary magnetic heads with respect to two mutually adjacent tracks on the magnetic tape, when playing the magnetic tape which has been recorded in a half-speed mode. In the half-speed mode, a rotational speed of the rotary magnetic heads and a tape transport speed of the magnetic tape are set to speed which are one-half those in a standard mode. But when playing on the reproducing apparatus the magnetic tape which has been recorded in the half-speed mode, only the tape transport speed is set identical to that in the half-speed mode, and the rotational speed of the rotary magnetic heads is set identical to that in the standard mode.
