  • Patent number: 9830217
Abstract: Techniques for protecting the contents of a computing device are provided. The techniques include associating security level information with each of a plurality of content items to be protected, the security level information including an integrity check action and a resultant behavior to be performed for each respective content item. The security level information can be built into an image comprising the content items to be protected and the image can be installed on a computing device. The techniques include accessing security level information associated with a content item responsive to a request to perform an action on the content, performing the integrity check action associated with the content item, and performing the resultant behavior associated with the content item responsive to the integrity check action indicating that the action requested cannot be performed.

  • Patent number: 8107614
Abstract: Methods and systems for enhanced Colorful Ring-Back Tone (eCRBT) services by mixing multiple digital content streams in real time are provided, including audio, video, data, text-based message, and hypermedia object streams. One or more properties of the content streams, such as volume or pitch of an audio stream, or brightness and layout of a video stream, are gradually altered such that a prominence of the an individual content stream is dynamically and seamlessly changed relative to other content streams with time. An eCRBT controller controls mixing and playing of digital content either based on an internal algorithm in an application server, or selections received from subscribers through provisioning interfaces. Personalized content streams can be mixed and played in real time based on interactive response received from a calling subscriber. Content may also be personalized based on caller by service provider.

  • Publication number: 20030018721
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system, method and computer program product for providing unified messaging using separate storage of media components. The present invention allows for more efficient storage and retrieval of messages. Consider a message sent from a second user to a first user over a network. The message is received by a first server. The first server stores the media component of the message on a mass storage device. The first server also stores on an email server a header, including information about the message, and a reference to the corresponding media component of the message stored on the mass storage device. Upon retrieval of a stored message by the first user, the email server is queried via the first server. Subsequently, the email server provides to the first user, via the first server: the header, or non-media component of the message, and the reference to the corresponding media component of the message stored on the mass storage device.

  • Publication number: 20030002634
Abstract: A system, method, and computer program product for monitoring event requests in a unified messaging system and generating event notifications upon the occurrence of specified events. The event notification system comprises an email server for storing a plurality of email messages. The event notification system further comprises at least one client from which at least one event request is initiated. A message handler is also provided. The message handler monitors the event requests, forwards the event requests to the email server, and forwards an event response based on the events requested to the client that initiated the request. An event listener that passively and actively monitors event requests occurring within the event notification system and generates an event notification when the event requests correspond to a subscriber event registration is also present.
