Abstract: Techniques for autonomously validating cloud-based policies can obtain information about a policy deployed in a cloud computing environment, automatically determine which scenario(s)/resource configuration(s) to test, and cause the cloud computing environment to automatically instantiate, modify, or disable one or more cloud resources according to the scenario(s)/resource configuration(s). After the cloud computing environment applies the policy to the new, modified, and/or disabled resource(s), the techniques can generate/store data indicating the compliance status of the resource(s) according to the policy. The techniques can improve the functioning of the cloud computing environment and/or related frontend systems, and provide cloud policy validation in an efficient, accurate, and scalable manner.
