Abstract: An example method for processing an electronic statement includes: receiving a biller identifier, the biller identifier being known to a payer; populating the biller identifier in the electronic statement, the electronic statement being an electronic document including financial information; encrypting the electronic statement including the biller identifier; sending the encrypted electronic statement including the biller identifier to the payer; and receiving authorization from the payer to make a payment identified in the electronic statement.
