  • Publication number: 20220363263
Abstract: Systems, devices, products, apparatuses, and/or methods for identifying a speed bump for an autonomous vehicle on a roadway by determining at least one beginning location in the one or more subsets of the plurality of subsets associated with a greatest positive change or a greatest negative change in the one or more parameters and at least one ending location in the one or more subsets of the plurality of subsets associated with the other of the greatest positive change or the greatest negative change in the one or more parameters, and identifying at least one bump or depression in the roadway based on the at least one beginning location and the at least one ending location.

  • Publication number: 20220139212
Abstract: Systems, devices, products, apparatuses, and/or methods, for detecting a missing traffic face, including: obtaining sensor data that includes a plurality of images associated with a geographic location including a roadway and associated with a plurality of image capture locations in the geographic location, determining in a subset of images of the plurality of images, a plurality of image areas associated with at least one predicted traffic face, determining a plurality of rays that project through 3-D spaces of the geographic location associated with the plurality of image areas from a subset of image capture locations of the plurality of image capture locations associated with the subset of images, and identifying at least one location of a traffic face in the geographic location based on a sum of unit vectors of the plurality of rays that project through the 3-D spaces of the geographic location at the at least one location of the traffic face.

  • Publication number: 20180079531
Abstract: This document describes a system and method through which unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and other vehicles (e.g., unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs), also known as autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs), unmanned water-surface vehicles (USVs), unmanned ground-surface vehicles (UGVs) and vehicles with the attributes and/or characteristics of more than one such category of vehicles (such as amphibious vehicles)), can be docked, with a device that can secure such vehicles, and information can be transmitted to and from such vehicles. The vehicles are secured through the use of magnetic fields produced by toggling magnets. The system also includes a means for transmitting information between the docking system itself, the vehicles and/or between the docking system and a command center, which may be a notable distance from the docking system, or among the docking system, the vehicle(s) and the command center.
