  • Patent number: 9941626
Abstract: The present disclosure discloses an electrical receptacle assembly. The electrical receptacle assembly comprises a housing with a first compartment and a second compartment with at least one third opening for receiving power supply cables. The first compartment has a second opening for receiving a switch knob, defined with central axis. A base of the second compartment fitted with a switch assembly in the housing. The switch assembly defines a spindle which is required to align axially with the central axis of the slot of the switch knob. A first and a second switch assembly mounting locations on the base mounts the switch assembly. The first mounting location is used when the power supply cables are positioned to enter the receptacle from operatively below the receptacle and the second mounting location is used when the power supply cables are positioned to enter the receptacle from operatively above the receptacle.

  • Patent number: 9929493
Abstract: An electrical receptacle assembly comprising a housing defined by a first compartment and a second compartment removably securable to each other by means of fasteners. The first compartment has an operative sidewall defining a first opening and an operative base defining a second opening, wherein the first opening has hourly graduations with a corresponding first securing formation for each graduation on the operative front face of the sidewall facing the outside of the first compartment. A sleeve formation extends from the sidewall defining the first opening and surrounding the graduation. A terminal block configured to be securely fitted within the first opening. The terminal block has second securing formations complementary to the first securing formations on the first opening to enable the terminal block to be rotatably mounted in the first opening corresponding to a desired voltage rating.

  • Patent number: 9472908
Abstract: A plug and receptacle assembly including a housing, an actuating mechanism for manipulating a switch to ON and OFF positions, a plug receptacle adapted to receive a plug, a link driving member attached to the actuating mechanism, a link member adapted to move laterally when the switch is moved to the ON position, a link blocking member movable from a position where lateral movement of the link member is blocked to a position where lateral movement of the link member is allowed, wherein upon insertion of the plug into the plug receptacle, a notch on the plug causes the link blocking member to move into the unblocked position where the actuating mechanism is movable to have the link driving member laterally move the link member and to turn the switch from the OFF position to the ON position.
