  • Patent number: 6877351
Abstract: When working a linear guide rail having one or more raceway grooves 2 on the side surfaces thereof, using rotary dies each including on the circumferential portion thereof a projection-shaped working portion matched in shape to the raceway groove 2, the raceway grooves 2 are rolled onto a rail blank work W. Since the raceway grooves 2 can be rolled with high accuracy by a single working step, the working time of the raceway grooves as well as the working cost thereof can be reduced.

  • Patent number: 6390679
Abstract: A linear guide bearing device 1, which serves as the above-mentioned linear guide device, comprises a guide rail 3 and a slider 4. The guide rail 3 includes a plurality of rolling element rolling grooves 5. The slider 4 includes a plurality of load rolling element rolling grooves 8 and a plurality of curved passages 15. The rolling grooves 5 and 8 cooperate together in forming their associated load rolling passages 11 respectively. In an area ranging over each set of the rolling element rolling passage 11 and curved passage 15, there is formed a crowning 20 in a direction where the rolling groove 8 moves away from its associated rolling groove 5. In the end portion of each curved passage 15 on the rolling groove 5 side, there is formed a tongue portion 17.

  • Patent number: 5553944
Abstract: A linear guide apparatus provides a guide rail extending axially and including a first rolling element groove formed on a side surface; a slider fitted with the guide rail and including a sleeve portion and a second rolling element groove formed on an inner side surface of the sleeve portion, the second rolling element groove of the slider confronting the first rolling element groove of the guide rail; and an under seal attached to a lower portion of the sleeve portion of the slider and projected from the inner side surface of the sleeve portion to slidingly contact with a surface of the guide rail, the under seal including a first projection arranged at an outer edge portion of a width of the under seal, the width being orthogonal to an axial direction of the under seal, the first projection having resiliency for pressing an inner edge portion of the under seal onto the guide rail. The under seal can be attached to the slider correctly without making displacement to ensure a proper seal margin.

  • Patent number: 4773770
Abstract: A slider slidably mounted on a guide rail has a recess formed in the lower surface of the slider, and a pressure vessel made of elastic material is accommodated in the recess. A friction plate is attached to the lower surface of the pressure vessel to abut against the upper surface of the guide rail. Hydraulic pressure is exerted on the upper surface of the guide rail through the friction plate by the pressure vessel and is adjustable by a pressure control valve so as to vary the frictional resistance between the slider and the guide rail.
