Patent number: 6922146Abstract: A radio frequency (RF) data carrier and method and system for reading information stored in the data carrier are presented. The data carrier comprises a collection of circuitries defining together a predetermined information code. Each circuitry includes: (a) a code circuit configured to have a certain RF frequency response to a powering signal and thus defining a certain symbol of the predetermined information code, and (b) a delay circuit configured to provide a phase delay of a predetermined value to said powering signal associated with the respective code circuit to thereby define a location of this symbol in the information code. The data carrier further comprises a power unit operable to produce said powering signal to actuate the delay circuit.Type: GrantFiled: April 24, 2003Date of Patent: July 26, 2005Assignee: Inksure RF Inc.Inventors: Amnon Yogev, Shlomo Dukler

Patent number: 6696229Abstract: Photographic process, in which a substrate comprising a plurality of superimposed layers of photochromic materials sensitive to different light wavelengths is provided. The object to be photographed is scanned and a digital file defining the image of the object is generated from the scanning. A plurality of sources of laser light having different wavelengths, each of which is the wavelength to which one of the photochromic materials is sensitive is provided and the layers of photochromic materials are irradiated by means of the laser beams produced by the sources, according to a program determined by the digital file, whereby to develop in each pixel of the substrate the color that it has in the image. The colors thus generated in the pixels of the substrate layers; and the background areas of the substrate layers are set.Type: GrantFiled: July 15, 2002Date of Patent: February 24, 2004Assignee: Kromotek, Ltd.Inventors: Shlomo Dukler, Jacob Hassan, Yaron Meerfeld

Publication number: 20030035131Abstract: A difficult-to-counterfeit document comprising, together with data printed in visible form, invisible indicia that are personalized in nature, and which cannot be seen without the cooperation of an external factor. The invisible indicia are printed with a luminescent ink or toner, and becomes visible by the application of irradiaton, such as UV light. The luminescent ink or toner may comprise fluorescent materials. The same type of document may bear different invisible indicia for different bearers or documents, and may be printed by conventional digital printing methods.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 21, 2001Publication date: February 20, 2003Inventors: Shlomo Dukler, Avi Landman

Publication number: 20030002029Abstract: A method for creating marked, difficult-to-counterfeit documents, comprising labeling printed documents produced by solid toner apparatus, such as a laser printer or a copying machine. The toner comprises a material the presence of which can be detected using spectrophotometric techniques. The toner is marked with a single compound, emitting light in a known spectrum. Two or more compounds having different spectra are mixed, so as to produce a characteristic “code” or “signature” as the result of their excitation with light. The amount of marked toner present at a given point on the document is preser as a threshold value, below which a document is considered not authentic. The position of the marked toner on the document is specifically selected, and the authenticity of the document is determined by detecting the presence of the marked toner at a specific location on the document.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 21, 2001Publication date: January 2, 2003Inventors: Shlomo Dukler, Avi Landman
