  • Patent number: 11059474
Abstract: A hybrid vehicle includes a hybrid powertrain having a high-voltage power bus. The vehicle further includes an electrical outlet having at least one socket configured to receive a power cord of an electrical load. A vehicle controller is programmed to receive a user-specified current limit for the socket, and, responsive to current of the socket exceeding the user-specified limit, de-energize the socket.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 9, 2018
Date of Patent: July 13, 2021
    Assignee: Ford Global Technologies, LLC
Inventors: Shlomo Revach, Duane M. Grider
  • Patent number: 11043801
Abstract: A hybrid vehicle includes a power bus electrically connected to an inverter and an electrical socket electrically connected to the power bus. A ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) is electrically connected between the power bus and the socket. The GFCI has a circuit breaker with a mechanical reset. An actuator arrangement is configured to actuate the mechanical reset to reset the circuit breaker.

  • Patent number: 10495045
Abstract: An exhaust gas heat recovery (EGHR) system for a vehicle is configured to selectively distribute a fluid heated by engine exhaust through a coolant path for heating an engine, a transmission and a battery during cold operating conditions until a desired operating temperature is reached. In response to receiving one or more heating requests from the engine, transmission and/or battery, a controller distributes the fluid through the coolant path according to a priority level for each heating request received, wherein the priority level for each heating request may be based on current vehicle operating conditions and/or driver demand.
