    Abstract: A liquid delivery pump delivers a liquid with high flow rate accuracy in consideration of solvent expansion, pressure dependent leakage of the solvent, and flow rate dependent leakage of the solvent. A liquid delivery pump includes first and second plunger pumps connected together, having respective first and second plungers. A pressure sensor measures a liquid delivery pressure (P2) from the second plunger pump, and a controller controls the driving of the first and second plungers. The controller obtains a moving speed (v1) of the first plunger and a moving speed (v2) of the second plunger using a parameter (C1, C0) depending on the liquid delivery pressures (P1, P2), the liquid delivery pressure, and a target flow rate of the liquid. The parameter (C1, C0) is a parameter of an expression representing a relationship between the liquid delivery pressure (P2) and a flow rate (Q0) of the liquid.

    Abstract: In an automatic analyzer, detection sensitivity in flow rate measurement in a cleaning system having a low pressure and a low flow rate is improved. The present disclosure proposes a control method for an automatic analyzer including a liquid feed pump that feeds, through a flow path, a cleaning liquid to a cleaning mechanism of a dispensing nozzle, and a control unit that controls an operation of the liquid feed pump. The control method includes: operating, by the control unit, the liquid feed pump to feed the cleaning liquid to a low-pressure flow path having a low pressure and a low flow rate, the low-pressure flow path constituting at least a part of the flow path; and operating, by the control unit, a flow rate estimation mechanism provided in the low-pressure flow path to obtain a flow rate estimation value in the low-pressure flow path.

    Abstract: A liquid chromatography analyzer acquires a first output value P1 of a pressure sensor measured by opening a flow passage to the atmosphere or by installing, in a column installation portion, a first column that is not filled with a filler, acquires a second output value P2 of the pressure sensor measured by installing a second column having a known pressure resistance Ps in the column installation portion, and updates a gain of the pressure sensor by using the first output value P1 and the second output value P2. Thus, inspection and adjustment of the pressure sensor can be easily performed without adding a complicated mechanism.

    Abstract: An evaporative concentration mechanism is achieved, which accurately evaporates and concentrates a small quantity of a sample liquid for a short period of time, regardless of the composition of the sample liquid or the surrounding environmental conditions. The evaporative concentration mechanism includes a container that accommodates a sample liquid; a heating unit that heats the container; a liquid level sensor that detects a liquid level height of the sample liquid accommodated in the container; and a control unit that controls a temperature of the heating unit, in which the control unit controls the temperature of the heating unit based on a liquid level of the sample liquid detected by the liquid level sensor. Accordingly, a small quantity of a sample liquid can be accurately evaporated and concentrated for a short period of time, regardless of the composition of the sample liquid or the surrounding environmental conditions.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a technique that enables liquid feeding with small pulsation by reducing the volume of a liquid feeding pump. Disclosed is a liquid feeding pump comprising: a first plunger pump that has a first plunger; a second plunger pump that has a second plunger and is connected to the first plunger pump in series; a pressure sensor that is disposed on the downstream side of the second plunger pump; and a control unit that accepts an input of the discharge pressure of a liquid measured by the pressure sensor to control driving of the first plunger and driving of the second plunger, wherein when the first plunger pump compresses the liquid, the control unit drives the first plunger at a first speed, and then decreases the speed to a second speed slower than the first speed before the compression is completed, and wherein the control unit discharges the liquid from the second plunger pump by driving the second plunger in parallel with the driving of the first plunger.
