A multi-mode waveguide is connected to a metal wire configured to transmit an electrical signal via a matching structure configured to perform impedance matching between the multi-mode waveguide and the metal wire. For example, the electrical signal can be a signal of a millimeter wave band. For example, the multi-mode waveguide, the metal wire, and the matching structure can be arranged to be aligned on a plane. The present technology can be applied to, for example, transmission for electrical signals such as millimeter waves.
