  • Publication number: 20200211591
Abstract: The present invention provides a substrate for a magnetic recording medium in which bulges are not easily formed on a surface thereof by a physical impact in a size for a 2.5-inch type hard disk drive, and a width of displacement caused by fluttering is small. The substrate for a magnetic recording medium includes an Al alloy substrate and a Ni alloy plating film formed on a surface of the Al alloy substrate, has a diameter of 54 to 70 mm, and a disk shape having a hole whose inner diameter ranges from 19 to 26 mm in the center thereof. The Al alloy substrate has a Young's modulus (E) of 74 GPa or more, a density (?) of 2.75 g/cm3 or less, and a ratio (E/?) of 27 or more between the Young's modulus (E) and the density (?). The Ni alloy plating film has a thickness of 4 to 7 ?m, and when an indentation is formed by pressing a diamond indentor whose tip has a square pyramid shape against a surface of the Ni alloy plating film with a test force of 0.

  • Patent number: 5516198
Abstract: A reclining device for vehicle seat, which is of such a structure wherein a main shaft is provided between a movable arm plate fixed to a seat back of the seat and a base plate fixed to a seat cushion fixed to a seat cushion of the seat, wherein a first lock gear element is defined in one of the arm and base plates, while a second lock gear element is slidably mounted on the main shaft for meshed engagement with or disengagement from the first lock gear element, and wherein an interlocking element is disposed along the main shaft between the arm and base plates, so as to permit such engagement and disengagement between the first and second lock gear elements to be effected by rotational operation of a lever. This makes the reclining device small in size and weight. The two gear elements may be formed generally annular for full meshed engagement therebetween, thereby making them rigid against deformation.

  • Patent number: 4875734
Abstract: An automotive seat is disclosed which comprises a vertically movable seat cushion and a fixed seat back and which is capable of closing a spacing produced between the seat cushion and seat back when the seat cushion is lowered. In the automotive seat, an expandable and contractible resilient member is disposed in the portion of the seat cushion to which the lower end of the seat back faces and the resiliency of the resilient member is utilized to close the spacing between the seat cushion and seat back.

  • Patent number: 4568106
Abstract: A passive restraint for a vehicle seat comprising a seat belt is disclosed which is designed so as to secure the security of an occupant. In this passive restraint, since a retractor is mounted in the inside front portion of one of side frame sections of a cushion frame and a belt guide is installed in the outside rear portion of the same one side frame section, an input from the seat belt will be little applied to the intermediate portion of the cushion frame, and points of the input is located adjacent to the front and rear points of installation of a slide rail. As a result of this, loads of the seat belt are distributed directly over the side of the slide rail, which offers an advantage to the cushion frame from the standpoint of strength.

  • Patent number: 4558901
Abstract: An arm rest device is disclosed in which a base plate, supported onto a bracket in a seat-back by means of link mechanisms, is mounted to an arm rest body in such a manner to be free to slide fore and aft and is also connected with a connecting pin of the arm rest body by means of a spring. If the arm rest body is pushed against the elastic forces of the spring, then such connection is removed and thus the arm rest body is free to move. Then, if the pressure is released, the connecting pin is caused to engage with a predetermined tooth groove in the base plate so that the angle of the arm rest body is adjusted. Thus, the inclining angle of the arm rest body can be adjusted by pushing it directly, which eliminates the provision for any knob, handle or the like.Further, the arm rest body can be adjusted such that it always maintains its horizontal position even when the seat-back is inclined.
