The corresponding function for the input operation is performed and the power-saving program judges whether the input operation is a normal operation. The power-saving program performs a power-saving procedure to turn off power from the electronic device when the input operation is judged to be abnormal.

    Abstract: A method and a device for alerting MSN message transmission are provided. An alert software is activated immediately after the user activates and logs in the MSN real-time messenger. The software then performs the confirmation of on-line status, and enters the computer system into a standby mode for alert. When an incoming message is acquired from the messenger, the alert level of the incoming message is determined. A signal representing the alert level of the incoming message is then transmitted to a wireless network access point, such that an alert showing the alert level of the incoming message can be generated. It will be appreciated that the incoming message does not only include an actual message sent by another on-line party, but also includes a call from another party.

    Abstract: A method for establishing telephone conversation through MSN platform between a calling end and a receiving end is dislcosed. To establish the conversation, a user account is required for each of the calling end and the receiving end. The MSN platform has to be activated and logged on at both the calling end and the receiving end. The calling end is dialed up to establish communication with the receiving end through the MSN platform. Upon reception of the dialing message, an alert signal at the receiving end. When an answering signal is transmitted from the receiving end to the calling end through the MSN platform, the conversation is commenced. Otherwise, a failure signal is displayed at the calling end.

    Abstract: A method for building an electronic label within an electronic device, which packs and incorporates the electronic label into the electronic device, protects the electronic label from separation or damage caused by external force, and thereby facilitates the sale management or manufacture management of various electronic devices. The method includes preparing a chip area and a recognition area on a base body of an electronic device, orienting a IC chip and a transponder onto the base body, translating the relevant information of the electronic device into digital codes, burning the digital codes into the IC chip, wiring, and packing. Compared to the conventional arts which glue, one by one, a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tag onto an electronic device, the manufacturing procedure is greatly simplified. The assembling cost and time are thereby reduced in a large scale.

    Abstract: An automatic protection apparatus for an unattended computer includes a transmitter and a receiver for wireless transmission. The receiver is plugged in an output port of the computer host to receive the wireless electromagnetic wave or optical wave signal transmitted from the transmitter, while the transmitter uses a specific low power to generate and transmit such wireless signal. Therefore, the receiver can receive the wireless signal within a short distance range. The transmitter is carried by a user. When the transmitter is remote from the receiver by a distance exceeding the distance range, the receiver is operative to generate a control signal to the computer automatically, so as to force the computer into a specific protection status (such as shutdown, standby, sleep mode or screen saver activation).
