  • Publication number: 20210096847
Abstract: A processing apparatus is a processing apparatus for a vehicle provided with a control processing unit that executes control processing for controlling an operation of an electronic device by executing a first program, and includes: an update determination unit that determines whether or not to update the first program; and a stop determination unit that determines whether or not running of the vehicle is stopped if the update determination unit makes a determination to update the first program, and, if the stop determination unit determines that running of the vehicle is stopped, the control processing unit executes the control processing by executing a second program, and a data amount of the second program is smaller than a data amount of the first program.

  • Publication number: 20200410778
Abstract: In the vehicle consumable management system, a gateway device of the vehicle collects information relating to consumables, and transmits the collected information to a server device, and the server device stores the received vehicle information. A smartphone used by a user receives vehicle information from the server device, and determines, based on the received vehicle information and a determination condition stored in the storage unit, the time to, for example, replace or refill the consumables of the vehicle, and displays a result of the determination as a notification screen to notify the user of the result of the determination. Furthermore, the smartphone accepts an operation for setting the determination condition for determining a replacement time, and changes the determination condition stored in the storage unit.

  • Publication number: 20200145249
Abstract: In a relay device, a transmitting/receiving unit of an ECU relay receives data. A first counter value is incremented if an amount of data received by the transmitting/receiving unit per unit time exceeds a first threshold. A second counter value is incremented if the amount of data received by the transmitting/receiving unit per unit time exceeds a second threshold. The second threshold is greater than the first threshold. A control unit of a bus relay repeatedly monitors the first counter value. If the first counter value is incremented, the control unit shortens a cycle with which the second counter value is monitored.

  • Publication number: 20200014758
Abstract: An on-board communication device, a computer program, and a message determination method are provided. The on-board communication device determines the propriety of a periodic message based on a reception cycle. The on-board communication device determines the propriety of a received non-periodic message based on the contents of a periodic message determined as being proper. The on-board communication device stores correspondence of periodic messages to be used for determining the propriety of a non-periodic message to the non-periodic message and based on the stored correspondence, determines the propriety of a received non-periodic message based on whether or not the content of each periodic message, corresponding to the received non-periodic message, that has been received immediately before that received non-periodic message and that has been determined by the periodic message determination unit as being proper satisfies a predetermined condition.
