  • Publication number: 20230149846
Abstract: Provided is a canister that can inhibit discharge of evaporated fuel to the atmosphere. One aspect of the present disclosure is a canister. The canister includes a charge port, a purge port, an atmosphere port, a main chamber to which a charge port and a purge port are connected, a sub chamber to which the atmosphere port is connected, an intermediate chamber arranged between the main chamber and the sub chamber in a flow path of an evaporated fuel, the intermediate chamber being connected to each of the main chamber and the sub chamber, a first adsorbent stored in the main chamber, second adsorbent stored in the sub chamber, and a third adsorbent stored it intermediate chamber. An adsorption capacity of the third adsorbent is smaller than each of an adsorption capacity of the first adsorbent and an adsorption capacity of the second adsorbent.

  • Patent number: 10590889
Abstract: A canister that is mounted on a vehicle includes an inflow port, an outflow port, an atmosphere port, a valve, at least one honeycomb body, and a spacer. The inflow port is coupled to a fuel tank in the vehicle. The outflow port is coupled to an intake flow passage of an internal combustion engine in the vehicle. The atmosphere port communicates an interior of the canister with an exterior of the canister. The valve opens and closes the atmosphere port. The honeycomb body is arranged in the most downstream side in a gas flow passage that leads to the atmosphere port from the inflow port, which is the upstream of the valve, enables adsorption and desorption of an evaporated fuel evaporated from the fuel tank, and has a honeycomb configuration. The spacer is arranged between the valve and the honeycomb body and maintains a specific distance therebetween.

  • Patent number: 10155191
Abstract: A grid that includes a plurality of holes perforated therein such that an aperture ratio of the grid increases from the center toward the periphery of the grid. The grid holds adsorbents filled inside a filling chamber of a canister having an opening, and keeps the adsorbents inside the filling chamber.

  • Patent number: 10138848
Abstract: A canister in one aspect of the present invention comprises an adsorber having a honeycomb shape that adsorbs evaporated fuel and a housing chamber that houses the adsorber. The canister comprises an outer passage, provided in the housing chamber, that passes over an outer surface of the adsorber and a flow passage that passes through the adsorber and the outer passage as a flow passage for the evaporated fuel to pass through the housing chamber.
