  • Patent number: 9106842
Abstract: A vehicle image display apparatus and method acquires captured images of an area around a vehicle captured by cameras at a plurality of positions on an outer portion of the vehicle, generates a single image based on the captured images and displays a composite image including the single image superposes with a first image showing boundary regions of the captured images in the single image and a second image showing end regions of the vehicle. When the composite image is displayed for the first time after an input operation is given to an ignition key of the vehicle, the first and second images are highlighted for a time period after the composite image starts to be displayed. After the time period elapses, the first image is non-highlighted and the second image is highlighted.

  • Patent number: 5562157
Abstract: A laminate type heat exchanger is formed from a plurality of plates and integrally brazed and joined. This heat exchanger includes a joint block, a refrigerant heat-exchanging portion which causes heat exchange between refrigerants, and an evaporating portion which causes heat exchange between refrigerant and passenger-compartment air. The inventors formulated new index to perform successful integral brazing. A reference volume of a portion is a volume of the portion providing a predetermined amount of heat-receiving surface area of the portion,an index A of the portion is defined byA=(volume of material of the portion to be heated existing in a reference volume of the portion)/(the reference volume of the portion), and a ratio of an index A1 which is the index A of the first portion and an index A2 which is the index A of the second portion, i.e., A1/A2 is set within a certain range. Preferably, the certain range of the ratio of A1/A2 is defined by 1/2.2.ltoreq.A1/A2.ltoreq.2.2.

  • Patent number: 5481886
Abstract: A drain case 4 is disposed between the bottom wall of a unit case and the lower end of refrigerant passage pipes 15 of a stacked type refrigerant evaporator. The drain case 4 is W-shape in cross section, and comprising two pieces of outside inclined walls 32 contacting the side ends of two pieces of tank parts 16 and 17 formed at the lower end side of the refrigerant passage pipes 15, a chevron type protruded wall 33 contacting a recessed part 28 formed at the bottom end of the part between the adjacent two pieces of tank parts 16 and 17, and inside inclined walls 34 having a drain hole 36. In this arrangement, the condensed water flows from the side ends of the two pieces of tank parts 16 and 17 and the part between the two pieces of tank part 16 and 17 into the lower ends thereof reaches the two pieces of outside inclined walls 32 and protruded wall 33 of the drain case 4 before reaching the bottom end of the two pieces of tank parts 16 and 17, and then is efficiently drained therefrom.
