  • Patent number: 11607780
Abstract: A work tool includes a housing, a spindle, a motor, a power-transmitting mechanism and a restricting member. The power-transmitting mechanism includes a sun member, a ring member, a carrier member and a planetary roller. One of the sun member and the ring member is configured to move together with the spindle in the front-rear direction relative to the other of the sun member and the ring member. The power-transmitting mechanism is configured to transmit power of the motor to the spindle when the sun member and the ring member relatively move toward each other in response to rearward movement of the spindle and the planetary roller gets into frictional contact with the sun member and the ring member. The restricting member is configured to restrict the planetary roller from moving in the front-rear direction relative to the housing.

  • Publication number: 20220168869
Abstract: A screwdriver compact in a front-rear direction includes a motor including a stator and a rotor including a rotor shaft extending upward frontward, a switch, a pinion, a clutch operable with the pinion, a bit holder movable in the front-rear direction in front of the clutch, a gear housing accommodating the pinion and the clutch and including front and rear divided parts, a motor housing joined to the gear housing and accommodating the motor, and a resin grip joined to the motor housing and accommodating the switch. The bit holder at a rearward position causes the clutch to be connecting to transmit rotation of the rotor and at a frontward position causes the clutch to be disconnecting to transmit no rotation of the rotor.

  • Patent number: 11278973
Abstract: A rechargeable shear (1) includes: a motor (5) having a rotor (21) that is rotatable relative to a stator (20); a motor housing (4), which houses the motor (5); a grip housing (8) connected to the motor housing (4); a battery-holding housing (9) connected to the grip housing (8); and a shear part (3) disposed forward of the rotor 21 and operably driven by the rotor (21). The motor (5) may be brushless. The shear part (3) may be rotatable relative to the motor housing (4) using a manipulatable ring (85) and a detent system (89, 92-94). A light (48) for illuminating the shear part (3) and a workpiece being cut thereby may be provided on the grip housing (8) or the battery-holding housing (9).

  • Publication number: 20220063081
Abstract: A power tool includes an illuminating portion as an indicator with improved viewability. A screwdriver includes a motor, an output unit driven by the motor, a housing accommodating the motor and including a grip and a battery mount below the grip, a switch held on the grip, a control circuit board accommodated in the battery mount, and a light emitter on an upper surface of the control circuit board. The batter mount has an upper surface with a first hole located in a left area or a right area of the upper surface. The light emitter emits light viewable through the first hole.
