  • Publication number: 20060217299
Abstract: It was discovered that hepatitis B virus x interacting protein (XIP) is cleaved and degraded by caspase-1, and the cleavage recognition site of XIP was also discovered. Based on these findings, the present invention provides a method and composition for inhibiting the degradation of XIP, more particularly, inhibiting the degradation of XIP caused by caspase-1, preventing and/or treating a disease attributable to the degradation of XIP, inhibiting the replication and/or transcription of hepatitis B virus, preventing and/or treating hepatitis B, and preventing and/or treating hepatic cancer caused by hepatitis B virus.

  • Patent number: 7065477
Abstract: A simulation device calculates an equilibrium arrangement of a set of particles by using a potential function or a force function, which describes an interaction of a particle system, and simulates the particle system by using an obtained equilibrium arrangement as an initial arrangement.

  • Patent number: 6735555
Abstract: A processing device generates a model of a tree in a given arbitrary space, reshapes the tree based on the nodes included in the tree, and outputs a reshape result. By repeating the reshape of the tree while examining the cost value of a reshaped tree, a local Steiner tree with a good cost value is obtained. A network shape is optimized by using the obtained local Steiner tree.

  • Patent number: 6718289
Abstract: A processing apparatus changes deformation elements composing a shape representing a problem to be processed using a search termination condition, a sequencing algorithm for deformation elements, a cost function and a deformation pattern, and deforms the shape. Then, the processing apparatus searches for a shape with the minimum cost, and outputs the shape as a solution.

  • Patent number: 6697788
Abstract: In an optimization problem, an optimum solution is searched by using the deterministic dynamics which has a neighborhood search capability, is not trapped into a local minimum state during a search using a search speed control mechanism, and improves the realization probability of the optimum state independent of the search speed.
