  • Patent number: 4660960
Abstract: An electronic imaging apparatus such as an electrophotographic copying machine comprises an image forming device for forming an image corresponding to the image of an original, an image agent supply for supplying an image agent to the image forming device, a developer for developing the image formed by the image forming device, and a recycle device for recycling the imaging agent which has not been used for the image forming process by the image forming device, the image agent supply being further responsive to the recycle device for receiving the recycled image agent gathered by the recycled device.

  • Patent number: 4634266
Abstract: The preferred embodiments provide a copying machine having a variable magnification copying function which includes a circuit for detecting or entering the length of each side of an irregular-sized document and a calculating circuit for operating the magnification ratio using the length of each side of the irregular-sized document and the length of each side of the set copy paper; a copying machine having a picture position setting function which includes a second operating circuit which calculates the product of the length of the lateral side of a document and the above-mentioned magnification ratio and further determines the difference between this operation result and the length of the lateral side of the copy paper; a display circuit for displaying this operation result as an allowable blank range, a circuit for distributing the blank spaces to the left and right sides, the allowable blank range displayed by this display circuit and a circuit for controlling the timing of copy paper feeding in response to

  • Patent number: 4629314
Abstract: An improved copying apparatus provided with a variable magnification operation memory function, in which the data value setting operation is simplified in the case where the converted magnification copying work is repeatedly effected based on the same variable magnification operation data, and thus, working time is reduced, while generation of erroneous operation is prevented, with a reduction of running cost and an improvement of the working efficiency.

    Assignee: Sharp Kabushiki Kaisha
    Inventors: Shoichiro Yoshiura, Haruyoshi Migita
  • Patent number: 4615610
Abstract: An improved copying apparatus having a one set-two copy mode, which is so arranged that by monitoring the original document set state during the one set-two copy mode setting period, the one set-two copy mode may be automatically released when the original documents are not properly set for an efficient copying operation without any erroneous functioning.

  • Patent number: 4615611
Abstract: An improved variable magnification copying machine with a function for calculating a conversion magnification from sizes of an original sheet and a transfer paper sheet to be detected or inputted, which is further provided with a function for calculating transfer available range on the transfer paper sheet from margin defining values to be inputted, and capable of controlling a starting timing for supplying the transfer paper sheets in compliance with the margin defining values in a lateral direction.

  • Patent number: 4614423
Abstract: An improved variable magnification copying apparatus which is provided with a function for controlling the lens position after completion of a copying operation so as to prevent occurrence of erroneous copying, with a consequent reduction of time required for the copying and simultaneous improvement of the operating efficiency.

  • Patent number: 4597663
Abstract: An electrophotographic copying machine of an automatic magnification/reduction-controllable type comprises a measurement circuit, a comparison circuit, and a display. The measurement circuit is provided for measuring the lengths of a copy document along its horizontal side and a vertical side. The comparison circuit compares the length of the horizontal side with that of the vertical side. The display displays either a first type of copy paper suitable for longitudinal feed when the length of the horizontal side is longer than that of the vertical side or a second type of copy paper when the length of the horizontal side is shorter than that of the vertical side.
