  • Patent number: 6504712
Abstract: A heat sink for CPUs for use in personal computers comprises a radiating base plate of metal having on one surface thereof a flat portion for receiving the heat generated by the CPU, and a plurality of raised radiating fins integrally formed by cutting on the other surface of the radiating base plate. The heat sink can be provided with a greater number of radiating fins than a conventional heat sink of comparable base plate size, hence an increased radiating area is obtained.

  • Publication number: 20020044424
Abstract: A heat sink for CPUs for use in personal computers comprises a radiating base plate of metal having on one surface thereof a flat portion for receiving the heat generated by the CPU, and a plurality of radiating fins formed in a raised shape on the other surface of the radiating base plate integrally therewith by cutting. The heat sink is 3 to 8 mm in the thickness of the radiating base plate, 20 to 50 mm in the height of the radiating fins from the base ends of the fins to the outer ends thereof, 0.2 to 0.7 mm in the thickness of the radiating fins, 1.5 to 4 mm in the fin pitch of the radiating fins, and 6 to 62 in the ratio of the height of the radiating fins from the base ends to the outer ends to the spacing between the radiating fins adjacent to one another. When equipped with a cooling fan, the heat sink is 3 to 8 mm in the thickness of the radiating base plate, 15 to 35 mm in the height of the radiating fins from the base ends of the fins to the outer ends thereof, 0.2 to 0.

  • Patent number: 6230407
Abstract: A heat pipe is produced by forming on a container an outwardly projecting tube portion having an interior in communication with the interior of the container for providing a gas retaining portion, injecting a working liquid into the container through an outer end opening of the tube portion, subsequently closing the end opening of the tube portion to thereby form the gas retaining portion on the container, heating the container to evaporate the working liquid to cause the gas retaining portion to retain therein noncondensable gases within the container, thereafter closing a container opening in communication with the gas retaining portion and separating the gas retaining portion from the container for removal. The weight of the container having the gas retaining portion and the combined weight of the heat pipe obtained and the separated gas retaining portion are measured and compared.

  • Patent number: 5197312
Abstract: A steering lock system includes a shift lever device in which a shift lever is operatively installed and a steering lock device in which a key cylinder is operatively disposed. In the system there is arranged a combination with a plug which is detachably fitted into an opening formed in a housing of the steering lock device; a slider movably disposed in the plug in a manner to be projectable into the housing through the opening, the slider being movable between a blocking position wherein the slider blocks rotation of the key cylinder of the steering lock device and a release position wherein the slider fails to block the rotation of the key cylinder; a resiliently flexible clip detachably fixed to the housing for achieving a tight connection between the plug and the housing; a bellcrank arranged to control movement of the shift lever of the shift lever device; and a cable member extending between the slider and the control member.

  • Patent number: 4866433
Abstract: When an outside handle switch, a trunk cylinder switch, a glove box switch, or the like is caused to be in an on position, a combined transmitter/receiver circuit is caused to operate through an input discriminator. The input discriminator will initiate wireless communication between a user side main controller and a subcontroller through the intermediary of an antenna. The user side main controller is formed into a card and includes a loop antenna, a combined transmitter/receiver circuit, and a microcomputer. The user side subcontroller is formed into a card and includes a loop antenna, a combined transmitter/receiver circuit, and a microcomputer. When the combined circuit receives a signal from the main card lock and subcard lock, the signal is forwarded to the user side controller position discriminator circuit. This position discriminator discriminates the vehicle outside or vehicle inside position of the main card lock and the subcard.

  • Patent number: 4110048
Abstract: A method of and an apparatus for inspecting a traveling sheet material, in which the ability to detect a defect is made as close to the identifying ability of man's visual inspection as possible, the detected defect is converted into an electrical signal and separated into four factors of width, quantity, depth or density, and length to make the sorting process most economical, the factors are discriminated to be of high, medium or low class, respectively, and the discriminated defect factors are synthetically judged through a decision circuit according to a defect pattern.

  • Patent number: 3958128
Abstract: A system for determining a transversal position of any defect in a traveling sheet material having a defect detector and at least one scanning detector, in which the transversal position of the defect in the sheet material is determined by the coincidence between a defect signal from the defect detector and an output signal from the scanning detector.
