  • Publication number: 20160184604
Abstract: A light emitting device for body hair includes a light source unit that outputs light and a controller connected to the light source. The controller controls output of the light source unit so that output light of the light emitting device resulting from the output of the light source has a main peak region including an output light peak, which indicates maximum intensity, in a wavelength range of 1350 nm to 1550 nm. An integral value of a peak region short-wavelength component, which is a main peak region component at a short-wavelength side of the output light peak, is larger than an integral value of a peak region long-wavelength component, which is a main peak region component at a long-wavelength side of the output light peak.

  • Patent number: 5237750
Abstract: A hair clipper includes, in addition to a cutter head, a hair entrapping member and a hair pressing member which are both movable relative to a cutting edge of the cutter head. The cutter head comprises a toothed stationary blade and a toothed movable blade. The movable blade is driven to reciprocate in shearing engagement with the stationary blade for shearing hairs therebetween. The hair entrapping member is movable between an open position and a closed position. In the open position the hair entrapping member is spaced away from the cutting edge of the cutter head, thus permitting hairs to enter between the hair entrapping member and the cutting edge. In the closed position, the hair entrapping member is held close to the cutting edge to thereby seize the hairs therebetween for shearing the hairs.

  • Patent number: 5185931
Abstract: A hair cutter having a cutter head with a cutter comprising a toothed stationary blade and a toothed movable blade which define a cutting plane between toothed edges thereof. The movable blade reciprocates relative to the stationary blade in hair shearing engagement between the toothed edges with the movable blade defining a cutting edge at its leading toothed edge. Disposed at the front end of the cutter head is a pair of first and second hair pressing members with respective hair contacting edges. The first hair pressing member is formed to have a number of comb slots arranged in parallel with the toothed edges of the movable blade with the comb slots defining at their bottom ends the hair contacting edge.

  • Patent number: 5123159
Abstract: A hair clipper has an elongated housing with a cutter head at its front and an elongated base cover connected thereto for movement between open and closed positions. The cutter head includes a stationary blade with a row of teeth and a movable blade with a like row of teeth which is driven to reciprocate relative to the stationary blade in hair shearing engagement therebetween. The teeth of the stationary and movable blades are cooperative to define a cutting edge. The base cover is formed at its front with a hair entrapping edge which extends substantially parallel with the cutting edge and which is kept spaced from the cutting edge in the open position and comes close to the cutting edge in the closed position. The hairs are introduced past the hair entrapping edge over the cutting edge in the open position, and subsequently seized between the hair entrapping edge and the cutting edge in the closed position for shearing at the cutting edge.

  • Patent number: 5060380
Abstract: A hair cutter has a housing with a part-cylindrical cutter head and a comb member. The cutter head comprises an outer shear plate having a number of perforations and an inner cutter assembly. The inner cutter assembly includes a rotary shaft carrying a plurality of radially oriented cutter blades in a circumferentially spaced relation about an axis of the rotary shaft. The outer shear plate is arcuately curved in transverse cross section to cover a portion of the curve centered on the rotary shaft axis so as to have its inside surface in hair shearing engagement with the cutter blades. The inner cutter assembly is driven by a drive source in the housing in such a manner that the cutter blades sweep the inside surface of the outer shear plate for shearing hairs introduced through the perforations. The comb member has a number of comb teeth which are spaced along the rotary shaft axis and extend over an perforated area of the outer shear plate for smoothing the hairs into the perforations.

  • Patent number: 5054199
Abstract: A motor-driven hair cutter is provided with a main cutter and a trimmer at a front end of an elongated housing. Each of the main cutter and the trimmer is a reciprocatory cutter comprising a toothed stationary blade and a toothed movable blade driven to reciprocate in hair shearing engagement with the stationary blade. The trimmer is movable between a retracted position in which a cutting edge of the trimmer is behind a cutting edge of the main cutter and a projected position in which the cutting edge of the trimmer projects forwardly of the main cutter so that the trimmer alone can be used. The trimmer blades are formed to be smaller in thickness as well as in cutting edge width than those of the main cutter blades in order to facilitate a delicate trimming of hairs in a restricted area of a user's head by the trimmer.

  • Patent number: 5050304
Abstract: A hair clipper includes a cutter head and a hair entrapping member which is movable toward and away from a cutting edge of the cutter head. The cutter head comprises a stationary blade with a toothed edge defining a cutting edge of the cutter head and a movable blade with a like toothed edge. The movable blade is driven to reciprocate in shearing engagement between the toothed edges of the stationary and movable blades for shearing hairs therebetween. The hair entrapping member is preferably in the form of a comb which is movable between an open position and a closed position. In the open position the comb is spaced away from the cutting edge of the cutter head, thus permitting hairs to enter between the comb and the cutting edge. In the closed position, the comb is held close to the cutting edge to thereby seize the hairs therebetween for shearing the hairs.

  • Patent number: 4563009
Abstract: A golf putting practice device comprises a ramp having a hole therein and a lifter for removing the ball from the hole. The ball lifter includes a lifting lever disposed in the hole and rockable between a non-actuated position for receiving a ball and a vertically actuated position for discharging the ball out of the hole in a rearward direction with respect to the lowest front end of the ramp direction. A slanted track receives the discharged ball and permits it to roll forwardly along one side edge of the ramp. A ball returner springs the back to the player.
