  • Publication number: 20010056174
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide an epoxy modified polyimide, which is a resin capable of treating at a low processing temperature and having an excellent heat resistance; photosensitive composition; coverlay film, which is excellent in electrical insulation property, heat resistance for soldering, film-formability, flexibility, and chemical resistance; solder resist; and printed wiring board. The epoxy modified polyimide is obtained by synthesizing polyimide having a hydroxy group or carboxy group and subsequently reacting the polyimide with an epoxy compound. The photosensitive composition is obtained by adding a photoreaction initiator or the like to the epoxy modified polyimide. The coverlay film and the solder resist can be formed from the photosensitive composition. The printed wiring board is produced using the coverlay film and the solder resist.

  • Publication number: 20010030122
Abstract: A laminate comprising a polyimide and a conductor layer, which is obtained by forming at least one conductor layer directly on the surface of a thermoplastic polyimide, is thermally fused by pressurizing and heating to thereby enhance the adhesion strength between the thermoplastic polyimide and the conductor layer. Thus, a laminate having an excellent adhesion strength between a conductor layer and a polyimide film can be obtained without performing any surface roughening treatment or using any adhesive metal layer.

  • Patent number: 6266161
Abstract: In an image reading and transmitting system for transmitting image data acquired by an image reading apparatus to a variety of processing apparatus through a network, reliability of the image data to be transmitted is improved without increasing an operator's workload. Image data being acquired by an image reading apparatus is stayed by a stay processing apparatus for a time sufficient for an operator to judge the usefulness of the data and to cancel transmission of the data if necessary. If no command to cancel transmission is given by the operator, the data is automatically transmitted to a network.

  • Patent number: 6185325
Abstract: A color space is divided into blocks in units of a block having a predetermined size, and transformed values of coordinates of vertexes of each block are calculated and recorded in a transformed value table. In cases where a block having a size different from the predetermined size is contained in the blocks, the block having the different size is replaced by a virtual block, which has a size identical with the predetermined size, and transformed values of coordinates of vertexes of the virtual block are calculated and recorded in a virtual transformed value table. In a factor table, vertexes, which have weight factors other than 0, and the weight factors of these vertexes are recorded with respect to each of positions in a block.

  • Patent number: 6173086
Abstract: A wavelet transform is carried out on an image signal representing an image, in which periodical structure patterns corresponding to a frequency higher than a Nyquist frequency in sub-sampling effected with the wavelet transform are embedded, by using at least one kind of low pass filter capable of decreasing the frequency components of the image signal, which correspond to the periodical structure patterns. A reduced image, which is represented by low frequency components of the image signal, is thereby obtained from the wavelet transform such that no moire may occur in the reduced image. The reduced image thus having good image quality is utilized as an image to be viewed.

  • Patent number: 6094503
Abstract: A color space is divided into a plurality of blocks, and transformed values of coordinates of vertexes of each block are calculated previously and recorded in a transformed value table. In a factor table, vertexes, which have weight factors other than 0, and the weight factors of these vertexes are recorded with respect to each of positions in a block. A transformed value of a picture element value of each of picture elements, which constitute a color image, is calculated with a simple interpolating operation by utilizing only the vertexes, which have weight factors other than 0, and in accordance with the transformed values, which have been recorded in the transformed value table, and the vertexes and their weight factors, which have been recorded in the factor table. A direct mapping technique is thus improved, and image transforming processing is carried out quickly.

  • Patent number: 5461238
Abstract: In a radiation image read-out apparatus, a stimulable phosphor sheet, on which a radiation image has been stored, is exposed to stimulating rays, which cause the stimulable phosphor sheet to emit light in proportion to the amount of energy stored thereon during its exposure to radiation. The emitted light is detected and photoelectrically converted by a photodetector, and an image signal representing the radiation image is thereby generated by the photodetector. Information corresponding to the amount of energy stored on the stimulable phosphor sheet during its exposure to radiation is inputted from a stored energy amount input device.

  • Patent number: 5224036
Abstract: An apparatus for determining the probability that the shadow of a tumor designated on a radiation image of an object is the shadow of a malignant tumor on the basis of an image signal representing the radiation image includes a spectrum calculating means, a characteristic value calculating means, and a judging means. The spectrum calculating means obtains the spectrum distribution of the image signal D(r,.theta.) whose coordinates are expressed in polar form with the origin taken as the approximate center of the shadow. From the spectrum distribution the characteristic value calculating means obtains a characteristic value, which the judging means uses to determine the probability that the shadow of a tumor is the shadow of a malignant tumor.
