  • Publication number: 20050109229
Abstract: A thermal pressing machine has a case in which a fixed-side press plate is fixedly provided, a main shaft to which a moving side press plate is attached, a lever arm pivotally attached to the main shaft, a first drive mechanism coupled to a force point at one end of the lever arm, and a second drive mechanism coupled to a supporting point at the other end of the lever arm. The first drive mechanism first causes the lever arm to pivot on the supporting point to greatly move the press plate, and the first drive mechanism is then stopped to operate the second drive mechanism, so that the lever arm pivots on the force point to press the press plate against the press plate.

  • Publication number: 20040232105
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method for manufacturing a microlens substrate which is excellent in chemical resistance and light fastness to intense light irradiation, and is capable of forming a microlens substrate of a high accuracy of form. The method includes the steps of: forming a lens-shaped curve at a surface side of a transparent substrate; forming an inorganic material film on the transparent substrate so as to bury the curve therewith; and planarizing the surface of the inorganic material film to provide a microlens where the curve is buried with the inorganic material film.

  • Patent number: 6006711
Abstract: A spark plug and an engine valve member are integrally combined in the same structure by forming an ignition gap between a first electrode rod which is the center electrode incorporated in an engine valve body and a second electrode portion which is the grounding electrode formed to be integral with or incorporated in the engine valve body. The resulting structure has the features of both a spark plug and an engine valve and is advantageously compact and applicable to gasoline engines in general.

  • Patent number: 5379276
Abstract: An information recording reproducing apparatus is operable with a large-capacity recording medium and is operatively connected to a host computer. The apparatus has a cache memory for temporarily storing therein information transmitted from the host computer, and also has a write-back function and a write-through function. When recording using a write-back function designated by a recording designation flag, the maximum number of substitutions of defective sectors is automatically set to a given value for a write-back operation, and a mode display indicates that a write-back mode has been selected. The write-back operation is inhibited by a write-back inhibit flag according to the frequency of occurrence of the substitutions or the condition of a substitute area to thereby enhance the reliability of recording information.
