  • Publication number: 20200254750
Abstract: A roll transfer coating method for coating a coating material, which has been supplied from a coater head to a pattern surface of an intaglio roll, to a coating substrate. When the supply of the coating material is made, the supply is blocked off by a contact of the intaglio roll with the bottom surface of the coater head at a position facing the pattern surface of the intaglio roll, so that the coating material in a liquid state is supplied only into a recessed portion of the intaglio roll. Upon transferring the coating material onto the coating substrate which is being transported by a high-speed coating line, the temperature of the coating material on the pattern surface of the intaglio roll is maintained at or below a first form-changing temperature, so that the coating material in a gelled state is coated to the coating substrate.

  • Publication number: 20200039178
Abstract: A stretchable composite sheet in which a plurality of stretchable elastic members (rubber threads) are adhered and fixed to where peaks of pleats (folds) of two non-woven fabric sheets and the plurality of the stretchable elastic members (rubber threads) are in contact therewith, with the stretchable elastic members (rubber threads) being positioned in an orthogonal direction with respect to the peaks of the double-layer pleats (folds). Coating of adhesive is applied to the entire circumferential surfaces of the stretchable elastic members (rubber threads) during the intermittent conveyance of the stretchable elastic members. An apparatus for manufacturing the stretchable composite sheet is provided with a coater application head which applies adhesives through slit grooves thereof to each of the stretchable elastic members (rubber threads) passing through the slit grooves.

  • Patent number: 10525501
Abstract: In a roller transfer application method for a hot-melt adhesive, a coater head having a slot in a direction towards an axis center of a pattern roller is provided to face a pattern surface of the pattern roller; and by supplying hot-melt adhesive, which is supplied from a hot-melt adhesive supply device, in a thin-film state to a pattern top surface of the pattern roller, thin-film hot-melt adhesive is thus only supplied to the top surfaces of protrusions of the pattern roller. By opening an on-off-type hot-melt adhesive supply control valve, which is attached to the coater head, at a timing that an adhesive opening (the slot) on the bottom surface of the coater head faces application zones on the pattern surface of the pattern roller, the hot-melt adhesive is supplied only to the top surfaces of the pattern roller protrusions.

  • Patent number: 9827579
Abstract: In front view of the application nozzle, all of the pressurized air flow K and adhesive flow H are made to run parallel to each other in the vertical direction. Of the pressurized air flows K from the pressurized air hole b in the pressurized air plate, the two that are located on one side of the adhesive hole opening a and from a pair in the front-to-back direction are tilted so as to approach each other. The extension lines thereof are located on the side of the adhesive bead, which results from the adhesive flow discharged from the adhesive hole opening, and have directions that converge. The respective pressurized air flows on the two side of the adhesive bead are made to flow downward while uniting in the direction of convergence. A web in which the adhesive bead is elongated while being swung in the transverse direction is formed and, near the bottom surface of the application nozzle, a non-interference space Q is formed between the adhesive bead and the fore pressurized air flow.

  • Patent number: 7677414
Abstract: In application of a foamed hot melt adhesive, a mixing ratio of foam can be selectably and quickly set, and also application of a foamed hot melt adhesive and that of a solid hot melt adhesive can be selectively performed by a single application device. A first gear pump and a second gear pump are driven by drive mechanisms independent from each other. The pressure of a liquid being sent by the pressure in the second compression process is detected, and this causes the speed of the first gear pump and the second gear pump to be sequence-controlled to automatically control the amount of mixing of gas. A gas suction opening is provided between the first gear pump and the second gear pump, and a mixer is provided between the gas suction opening and the second gear pump. The end of a return circuit is set on the downstream side of the first gear pump to prevent foam from returning to the tank side. A restriction valve is installed in a gun to produce a single bubble.

  • Patent number: 6311899
Abstract: A truncated cone which causes pressurized air flow from plural pressurized air holes to rotate and flow down along the circumferential surface of the truncated cone is provided connectedly at the underside of a nozzle base. A pair of (right and left) downward slanting surfaces which are recessed in V-shape (in side view) are formed in such a fashion that they oppose to each other and slant upward and toward the center. A nozzle projection whose underside is a non-circular shape having a minor axis in the direction where the lower ends of the downward slanting surfaces exist and a major axis in the direction where the lower ends of the downward slanting surfaces do not exist, is provided connectedly at the underside of the truncated cone. In the second invention of the present application, adhesive exposing surface is formed at a part of the downward slanting surface.
