  • Patent number: 7339888
Abstract: A plurality of bridges are interconnected between respective ports thereof in a ring shape to configure a network containing a redundant route. When a bridge has a blocking port, the bridge transmits to the network a blocking advertisement containing information indicating that it has a blocking port and its address. When a bridge does not have a blocking port, the bridge transmits a line failure notification to other bridges having a blocking port when a line failure is sensed. When a bridge has a blocking port and the line failure notification has been received from other bridges, the bridge transmits to the network a blocking release advertisement indicating that the blocking port has been transited to a forwarding state and the blocking state has been released. When a bridge receives a blocking release advertisement packet, the bridge erases a forwarding database thereof.

  • Patent number: 6891808
Abstract: A controller changes a blocked port to a forwarding state when a link down or change of the representative bridge is detected and a receiving port of a bridge settled in the root bridge is a blocked port. When the bridge itself is not settled in a root bridge, a transmitter transmits to another bridge a TCN-BPDU that, when the bridge itself has received a BPDU inferior to itself BPDU, the representative bridge changes. A transmitter transmits to all other bridges a TC detection flag set BPDU when the bridge itself has received a TCN-BPDU and the bridge itself is settled in a root bridge. When the bridge itself is not settled in a root bridge and the bridge itself has received the TC detection flag set BPDU, such BPDU is transmitted in a direction other than root bridge direction, and the contents of a forwarding table of the bridge itself are deleted.

  • Publication number: 20040017770
Abstract: A plurality of bridges containing an own bridge and other bridges are connected to each other between respective ports thereof in a ring shape to configure a network containing a redundant route. When the own bridge has a blocking port, the bridge transmits a blocking advertisement containing its own address indicating that the port of the bridge has been transited to a blocking state, to the network by a broadcast packet. In the case where the own bridge does not have the blocking port, the bridge transmits a line failure notification to the other bridges having a blocking port when a line failure is sensed. When the own bridge has a blocking port and the line failure notification has been received from the other bridges, the bridge transmits a blocking release advertisement which indicates that the blocking port has been transited to a forwarding state and the blocking state has been released, to the network by a broadcast packet.

  • Patent number: 4849476
Abstract: A flexible thermoplastic resin composition is disclosed comprising (A) from 5 to 59 parts by weight of a polyamide resin and (B) from 95 to 41 parts by weight of an ethylene copolymer containing (a) from 50 to 90% by weight of ethylene, (b) from 5 to 49% by weight of an .alpha.,.beta.-unsaturated carboxylic acid alkyl ester, and (c) from 0.5 to 10% by weight of maleic anhydride. The resin composition of the invention has excellent cold resistance, particularly impact strength at low temperatures, and an excellent balance between rubbery elasticity and rigidity in addition to excellent thermal resistance, abrasion resistance, and chemical resistance.
