  • Patent number: 9019285
Abstract: A semiconductor integrated circuit device of the present invention connected to a memory in which display data for a display device is stored, and is adapted to read out the display data from the memory to transfer the same to the display device, the semiconductor integrated circuit device comprising: a display data buffer for holding the display data; a memory controller for prefetching the display data in page-size units of the memory to cause the same to be held by the display data buffer and, upon completing prefetching of one page, closing the page to cause the memory to shift into a power saving mode; and a display device controller for transferring the display data held in the display data buffer to the display device.

  • Patent number: 7137706
Abstract: With a trend toward a higher intensity projection type liquid crystal display device to further increase brightness of a projection screen, rated input power of a light source lamp increases, which makes essential a fan apparatus for cooling the light source lamp, etc. Such a fan apparatus would require a light-shielding member which causes the number of parts to increase. The present invention provides a fan apparatus provided with a rotor section that can be rotated/driven around a predetermined rotation axis and a propeller section including propeller blades and attached to the rotor section arranged in such a way as to substantially shield light parallel to the rotation axis.

  • Patent number: 6832895
Abstract: A cooling fan acts as a light shield to block light from shining therethrough, and also provides good air circulation. An impeller, which is a key constituent component of the fan, is split into a front stage impeller and a rear stage impeller. The front stage impeller has front stage blades, and the rear stage impeller has rear stage blades. Each of the front stage blades overlaps with the adjacent blades of the rear stage blades so as to cover the gaps between the sides of the rear stage blades. With this arrangement, the incident light beams are blocked by the blades, and also the constituent components can be released easily from the dies after molding. Still further, the air circulating characteristic is not degraded in the light shield fan of the present invention.

  • Patent number: 5930070
Abstract: A magnetic recording and reproducing system including a reel base for supplying or taking up a tapelike magnetic recording medium, and a tension band for braking the reel base, which is wound around the reel base through a predetermined angle. First and second retainers are provided for holding opposite ends of the tension band, respectively. The first and second retainers are pivotally attached to a pivotal tension arm. The tension arm has a tension post so that the magnetic recording medium is brought into sliding contact with the tension post. An urging member is provided for adjusting the tension of the magnetic recording medium to a desired value. The system also includes a control member which has a contact portion capable of being brought into contact with a guide portion of the second retainer.
