Abstract: Disclosed herein is a display to be applied to a digital switch. This display includes a casing (1) formed of a box-type casing (2) and a cover (3), a display element (8) facing a display window (2b) accommodated in the casing (1), a printed wiring board (9) for supporting the display element (8), and a printed wiring board (14) which is connected to the printed wiring board (9) and on which a control circuit (16) for displaying an external input signal on the display element (8), and the like are mounted. At the front portion of the casing (1) is formed frames 11a and 11b extending over a display face (8) of the display element (8), and thus a portion of the printed wiring board (9) which is located at the outer periphery of the display element (8) cannot be seen from the outside. A conductive pattern (18) for discharging a static electricity is provided on the printed wiring board (9), corresponding to a region in which the frames (11a, 11b) engaged with each other.

Abstract: An electric switch for a power tool, comprising: a slider slidably received in a switch casing along a longitudinal direction, a handle provided in the grip of the power tool for manually actuating the slider along the longitudinal direction; a plurality of fixed contact pieces arranged in an internal bottom surface of the switch casing and provided with contact surfaces located substantially in a same plane; and a plurality of moveable contact pieces arranged in the bottom surface of the slider and urged toward the fixed contact pieces by spring members so as to selectively contact at least some of the contact surfaces of the fixed contact pieces. The contact portions of this switch achieve various conductive states by planar arrangement and movement of the contact pieces, the component parts can be fitted into a small switch casing, particularly having a small height.

Abstract: A switch comprising a cylindrical housing, an actuator mechanism disposed at one end of the housing for contacting an object to be sensed by the switch, a plunger slidably housed within the housing for receiving a displacement by the actuator mechanism, and a switching mechanism associated with the plunger for switching a circuit in accordance with the actuation by the plunger. The actuator mechanism includes a conical supporting member tiltably engaged with a flange member formed in the aforesaid one end of the housing.
