Patent number: 11973453Abstract: A first actuator and a second actuator each have a plurality of control calculation units provided redundantly and a plurality of motor drive units provided redundantly. In the first and the second actuators, the control calculation units of the systems paired with each other transmit and receive information to and from each other by a communication between the actuators. When a failure occurs in any system in either of the two actuators, or when a failure occurs in a communication between actuators in either system, the control calculation unit of each actuator of the system in which the failure occurred stops the motor drive control. Then, the motor drive control is continued by the control calculation unit of the normal system in both actuators.Type: GrantFiled: April 26, 2022Date of Patent: April 30, 2024Assignees: DENSO CORPORATION, TOYOTA JIDOSHA KABUSHIKI KAISHA, JTEKT CORPORATIONInventors: Hiroki Tomizawa, Masaharu Yamashita, Kenji Shibata, Yosuke Yamashita, Shoji Kubota, Yugo Nagashima, Yuji Fujita, Kenichi Abe

Publication number: 20240101125Abstract: An information processing device calculates a feature related to driving of a driver. The information processing device includes: a processor that calculates the feature; and a transmission unit that transmits the calculated feature to an outside. The processor identifies whether there is a predetermined situation in which a risk in relation to a preceding vehicle occurs, and calculates, as the feature, information related to a behavior of the driver for reducing the risk when the predetermined situation is identified.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 3, 2023Publication date: March 28, 2024Applicant: TOYOTA JIDOSHA KABUSHIKI KAISHAInventors: Yoshihisa YAMADA, Taro KAWAI, Shoji KUBOTA

Publication number: 20240096143Abstract: An information processing device includes one or more processors. The one or more processors are configured to acquire a time lag between the time of occurrence of fluctuation in the rotational speed of a first wheel on the front side of a vehicle and the time of occurrence of fluctuation in the rotational speed of a second wheel on the rear side of the vehicle. The one or more processors are configured to determine the condition of a road surface using the determination result as to whether the fluctuation in the rotational speed of a left wheel of the vehicle and the fluctuation in the rotational speed of a right wheel of the vehicle are synchronized and the time lag.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 29, 2023Publication date: March 21, 2024Applicant: TOYOTA JIDOSHA KABUSHIKI KAISHAInventors: Yoshihisa YAMADA, Shoji KUBOTA

Patent number: 11597434Abstract: An actuator that applies force to a member associated with steering, and a control device that controls the actuator, have duplex configuration. First and second control devices compute the same controlled variable as first and second controlled variables, respectively. In a normal mode, the control device controls the actuator according to the first controlled variable. The first and second control devices send and receive respectively computed controlled variables to and from each other via communications. When a discrepancy arises between the first and second controlled variables, or an abnormality occurs in communications between the first and second control devices, the operating mode is switched from the normal mode to an independent mode. In the independent mode, the first and second control devices control the first and second actuators, according to the first and second controlled variables, respectively.Type: GrantFiled: April 15, 2020Date of Patent: March 7, 2023Assignees: TOYOTA JIDOSHA KABUSHIKI KAISHA, JTEKT CORPORATION, DENSO CORPORATIONInventors: Masaharu Yamashita, Atsushi Sato, Masataka Okuda, Yosuke Yamashita, Shintaro Takayama, Shunsuke Hiromasa, Toshiyuki Mikida, Shoji Kubota, Yuji Fujita, Kenichi Abe, Toshimitsu Sakai
