  • Publication number: 20100239838
Abstract: There is provided a coating composition capable of forming a coating film which has excellent long-term corrosion resistance and mechanical properties such as impact resistance, ductility, hardness, and bending resistance, and also has excellent damage resistance against sliding; and a coated article having the coating film. The coating composition includes a synthetic resin binder; a multilayer carbon nanofiber subjected to surface treatment with a non-conductive substance; and a dispersion medium. Preferably, the multilayer carbon nanofiber is grafted at least at one part of a surface thereof. Preferably, the coating composition comprises 3 to 15 parts by weight of the multilayer carbon nanofiber and 10 to 300 parts by weight of the dispersion medium with respect to 100 parts by weight of the synthetic resin binder.

  • Patent number: 6420035
Abstract: A metal material subjected to a treatment for seizure prevention is provided. The metal material includes a metal base material and a film formed thereon, the film being composed of a carbodiimide group-containing resin obtained from an aromatic polyisocyanate or of a mixture of said carbodiimide group-containing resin and a lubricant. A method for producing a metal material subjected to a treatment for seizure prevention is also provided. The method includes coating, on a metal base material, a carbodiimide group-containing resin obtained from an aromatic polyisocyanate or a mixture of said carbodiimide group-containing resin and a lubricant, and then subjecting the coated metal base material to a heat treatment at a temperature of 120° C. or higher.
