Abstract: A compound represented by the following formula (1a) or formula (1b) is a light emitting material capable of forming a film according to a coating method and excellent in heat resistance. R1 and R2 each are an aliphatic group, and at least one is a polycyclic aliphatic group. A1 to A2 each are N or C—R3, and R3 is a hydrogen atom or a substituent, at least one of A1 to A5 is C—R3 and R is a donor group. A6 to A8 each are N or C—R4, and R4 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group. At least one of A6 to A8 is N. D is a donor-like linking group.
