Abstract: A bag supply system includes: a bag bundle delivery device moves bag bundles from a delivery relay position to a delivery zone; a bag bundle conveyance device which receives the bag bundles from the bag bundle delivery device in the delivery zone and conveys the bag bundles from the delivery zone to a supply zone in a state where the bag bundles are supported by a support part; a bag bundle takeoff device which holds the bag bundles supported by the support part in the supply zone and moves the bag bundles from the bag bundle conveyance device to a supply relay position; and a bag supply device which sequentially supplies bags included in each of the bag bundles arranged in the supply relay position, to a packaging machine. The support part moves along an endless track between the delivery zone and the supply zone.

Abstract: A bag supply apparatus supplies a bag to a packaging machine for performing a packaging process to a bag containing a content. The bag supply apparatus includes a transfer apparatus, a detection apparatus, a takeout apparatus, and a delivery apparatus. The transfer apparatus transfers a bag containing the content, with its bag mouth being not yet sealed, in substantially a horizontal posture and along substantially a width direction of the bag, to a takeout area. The detection apparatus detects a bag on the transfer apparatus upstream of the takeout area. The takeout apparatus takes out a bag from the takeout area, with sandwiching both side edges of the bag positioned in the takeout area by a pair of sandwiching members. The delivery apparatus delivers a bag to the packaging machine.

The pickup unit includes a holding device which enters the entry space and holds a bag bundle located above the entry space, each support portion has a contact part which comes into contact with a bag bundle being placed thereon, and a part of a bag bundle other than the thick part is placed on a contact top part which is located at a highest position of the contact part.
