  • Patent number: 10823605
Abstract: A method of evaluating a pen input device film includes: a first step of, while keeping a tip of a pen in contact with a surface of the pen input device film, moving the pen input device film relative to the pen along the surface of the pen input device film, and while the pen input device film is being moved relative to the pen, when the pen vibrates at a predetermined vibration frequency, obtaining measurement data that indicates at least one of an amplitude and an acceleration of the pen; and a second step of comparing the measurement data obtained in the first step with reference data.

  • Patent number: 10719176
Abstract: A transparent laminated film comprising a transparent substrate layer and a surface-smooth layer on one side of the transparent substrate layer is disposed on a display surface of a pen-input device. The surface-smooth layer comprises a cured product of a curable composition containing a urethane (meth)acrylate and a leveling agent, and the coefficient of static friction, the coefficient of dynamic friction, and the difference between the coefficient of static friction and the coefficient of dynamic friction (the coefficient of static friction—the coefficient of dynamic friction) are adjusted to 0.2 to 0.4, 0.1 to 0.3, and a range of larger than 0.05, respectively. The curable composition may further comprise a polyfunctional (meth)acrylate. The leveling agent may comprise a silicone-series leveling agent and/or a fluorine-containing leveling agent. When used for a pen-input device, the film permits input like writing on paper with a ballpoint pen.

  • Patent number: 10392486
Abstract: A coat layer and a substrate layer are combined to prepare a transparent laminate film; the coat layer has a surface with a maximum height of rolling circle waviness profile (WEM) in accordance with JIS B0610 of 5 to 15 ?m and an arithmetic average roughness (Ra) of not less than 0.5 ?m. The transparent laminate film provides a comfortable writing experience and a reduced abrasion of a pen tip. The coat layer may have the surface with the arithmetic average roughness (Ra) of 0.5 to 5 ?m. The coat layer may contain particles and a binder component. The binder component may comprise a polyfunctional (meth)acrylate, and a urethane (meth)acrylate and/or a thermoplastic elastomer. The transparent laminate film may have a total light transmittance of not less than 85%. The transparent laminate film may be disposed on a surface of a display of a pen-input device.

  • Publication number: 20180037755
Abstract: A coat layer and a substrate layer are combined to prepare a transparent laminate film; the coat layer contains particles having a particle size distribution with a plurality of peaks in a particle size region of not less than 6 ?m, and of particle sizes corresponding to the plurality of peaks, the smallest particle size is larger than an average thickness of a flat portion of the coat layer. The transparent laminate film provides a comfortable writing experience and an excellent anti-glareness. The particles in the coat layer may contain small particles having a particle size of not less than 6 ?m and less than 12.5 ?m and large particles having a particle size of more than 12.5 ?m and not more than 20 ?m, and the average particle size of the small particles may be larger than the average thickness of the flat portion of the coat layer. The coat layer may further comprise a polyfunctional (meth)acrylate, and a urethane (meth)acrylate and/or a thermoplastic elastomer.
