Abstract: A non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery according to an aspect of the present disclosure comprises: an exterior can which has a bottomed cylinder shape and which has grooved part at an opening part thereof; an electrode body and a non-aqueous electrolyte which are housed in the exterior can; a sealing body which, at the opening part, is fixed by crimping between the grooved part and an opening end part; and an upper insulating plate which is inserted between the electrode body and the sealing body. The upper insulating plate has a first insulating plate which is in the shape of a disc smaller than the inner diameter of the grooved part, and a second insulating plate which is in the shape of a ring and which is disposed below the first insulating plate. The first insulating plate has higher heat resistance than the second insulating plate.

A sealed battery, which is one example of an embodiment of the present invention, comprises: an electrode body; a bottomed tubular outer housing can that accommodates the electrode body; and a sealing body that plugs an opening section of the outer housing can. The outer housing can or the sealing body has provided thereto an exhaust structure for discharging gas by breaking when internal pressure of the outer housing can exceeds a predetermined threshold. A sealed battery, which is one example of an embodiment of the present invention, comprises a potassium salt sheet that contains a potassium salt and that is disposed between an end surface of the electrode body and a bottom surface part of the outer housing can having the exhaust structure or the sealing body having the exhaust structure.

Abstract: A nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery according to one example of an embodiment includes: a wound electrode assembly in which a positive electrode (11) and a negative electrode (12) are wound with at least one separator (13) interposed therebetween. In the nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery, an insulating tape (40) is adhered to, of a portion of a positive electrode lead (19) extending past one end of a positive electrode collector (30), at least a range facing the negative electrode (12) with the separator (13) interposed therebetween. The insulating tape (40) includes a base material layer, an adhesive layer, and an inorganic particle-containing layer formed therebetween, and the inorganic particle-containing layer contains 20 percent by weight or more of inorganic particles with respect to the weight of the layer described above.
