  • Patent number: 9637096
Abstract: A vehicle control apparatus is equipped with a vehicle velocity detecting unit that detects a vehicle velocity of a driver's own vehicle, and an automatic brake control unit configured to carry out an automatic brake control process for causing a braking force to be generated automatically in the wheels without reliance on a braking operation when the vehicle is involved in a collision. The automatic brake control unit makes the braking force to the wheels smaller as the vehicle velocity becomes higher after the vehicle collision.

  • Patent number: 9630603
Abstract: A braking device for vehicle includes: a master cylinder that generates an oil pressure in accordance with the amount of operation of a brake pedal; a vehicle stabilizing device that generates an oil pressure in accordance with an oil pressure generation command from a brake control device; and a braking unit that generates braking force in a vehicle in accordance with the oil pressure generated in the master cylinder or the vehicle stabilizing device. The brake control device puts automatic braking into operation by generating the oil pressure in the vehicle stabilizing device when an impact is detected by a collision detection sensor, and in a case where an abnormality of the vehicle has been detected during operation of the automatic braking, the brake control device controls the vehicle stabilizing device to stop operation of the automatic braking in accordance with influence on operation of the automatic braking.

  • Publication number: 20160368466
Abstract: A vehicle brake system includes a collision determination unit that determines whether collision of the vehicle occurs or not; and a second braking control unit that, when the collision of the vehicle is determined as occurring, causes at least either of an ESB system and a VSA system to perform emergency braking control of the vehicle, and causes the VSA system to perform ABS braking control based on an ABS brake demand depending on a slip state of each wheel, irrespective of whether a brake pedal is pressed down or not. In a case where the vehicle collides, where the brake operation is performed, and where the ABS braking control is performed, the second braking control unit causes the emergency braking control based on an emergency brake demand to be continued instead of the braking control based on the press-down operation of the brake pedal by a driver.

  • Publication number: 20160368465
Abstract: A vehicle brake system includes a collision determination unit configured to determine whether collision of the vehicle occurs; a second braking control unit configured to cause at least one of ESB and VSA systems to perform emergency braking control of the vehicle irrespective of a press-down operation of a brake pedal by a driver when collision of the vehicle occurs; and a braking force determination unit configured to determine whether a demanded braking force by emergency braking control exceeds a predetermined braking force threshold. In a case where the collision of the vehicle occurs, and where the demanded braking force exceeds the braking force threshold, the second braking control unit retreats an operation position of the brake pedal in a press-down direction.

  • Publication number: 20160311414
Abstract: A vehicle brake system includes a collision state determination section and a second brake controller. The collision state determination section determines a collision state of a vehicle. The second brake controller performs control of braking on the vehicle irrespective of braking operation by a driver in cases where it has been determined by the collision state determination section that the vehicle has collided. When it has been determined by the collision state determination section that the vehicle has been involved in a multiple collision, the second brake controller increases the braking control amount in such situations compared to a braking control amount during a single collision.

  • Publication number: 20160023632
Abstract: A seat belt device includes: a belt reel that winds a webbing; an electric motor that drives the belt reel to wind; a collision prediction unit that predicts a collision with an object; and a controller that is connected to the collision prediction unit via a network and that performs winding control of the electric motor when a collision with the object is predicted by the collision prediction unit. After the controller receives information on collision prediction from the collision prediction unit via the network, even when a communication failure occurs between the controller and the collision prediction unit, the controller performs control to cause the electric motor to continue winding control.

  • Patent number: 9108560
Abstract: The seat belt failure warning apparatus is disposed with a buckle switch that detects wearing of a webbing, a rotation sensor that detects a drawing-out amount of the webbing, and a liquid crystal display that switchingly displays a plurality of alarm information. A controller is disposed with a failure determination unit that determines whether the seat belt device has had a failure or not, and a control unit that controls display of the liquid crystal display. When the buckle switch is OFF and drawing-out of the webbing is detected by the rotation sensor after the failure determination unit has determined the seat belt device has had a failure, failure information of the seat belt which indicates that the seat belt device has had a failure as a determination result by the failure determination unit is displayed on the liquid crystal display regardless of a display priority of alarm information.

  • Patent number: 8944206
Abstract: A seat belt apparatus includes a reel, a motor, a clutch member, a belt reacher, a door opening/closing detection section, a wearing detection section and a motor control section. Once a change from an opened state to a closed state of a vehicle door is detected by the opening/closing detection section, the control section controls the motor so that the webbing is pulled out from the reel at a predetermined speed. Once wearing of the webbing is detected by the wearing detection section while the webbing is being pulled out at the predetermined speed, the control section controls the motor to stop pulling-out of the webbing. The predetermined speed is first kept at a constant speed, corresponding for example to a 10[%] duty cycle, for a predetermined time period and then caused to gradually decrease from the constant speed.
