  • Publication number: 20110301796
Abstract: A power transmitting apparatus for a hybrid vehicle can transmit the driving force of engine E to the motor M or reversely the driving force of motor M to the engine E when the vehicle is stopped while avoiding transmission of the driving force of either of them to the driving wheels D such that the vehicle remains stopped. In some embodiments, a power transmitting apparatus for a hybrid vehicle can comprise a first clutch operatively posited between an engine mounted on a vehicle to driving wheels in a power transmission system and configured to transmit or cutoff driving force of the engine to or from the driving wheels; a second clutch operatively positioned between a motor mounted on a vehicle to the driving wheels in a power transmission system and configured to transmit or cut off driving force of the motor to or from the driving wheels.

  • Publication number: 20110233019
Abstract: A power transmitting apparatus for transmitting power from a driving source of a vehicle to its wheels can be adapted to properly select transmitting or cutting-off of the driving force of the driving source to or from the wheels. The apparatus can comprise a torque converter having a torque amplifying function; a clutch mechanism including a first clutch device operable on advancement of the vehicle and adapted to transmit the driving force of the driving source to the wheels through a power transmitting system of the torque converter and a second clutch device adapted to transmit the driving force of the driving source to the wheels without the power transmitting system of the torque converter. A selecting device can be configured to operate the first clutch device and/or the second clutch device in accordance with operation modes of the vehicle, including starting.

  • Publication number: 20110237389
Abstract: A power transmitting apparatus, such an automotive transmission, adapted to properly select transmission of or cutting-off of a driving force of the driving source to or from the wheels of a vehicle can include a torque converter having a torque amplifying function. A clutch mechanism can include a first clutch device configured to transmit the driving force to the wheels through the torque converter and a second clutch device configured to transmit the driving force without passing through the torque converter. A selecting device can control the first clutch device or the second clutch device in accordance with conditions of the vehicle including starting from a stop. An input-side measuring device can be used to measure an input-side rotational speed of the first clutch device and an output-side measuring device can be used for measuring an output-side rotational speed of the first clutch device.

  • Patent number: 6397695
Abstract: Shift valves 141, 142, 143 are provided to switch oil passage connections to a state in which an oil pressure in one hydraulic clutch of an arbitrary speed transmission train and an oil pressure in a hydraulic clutch of a transmission train which is adjacent thereto as seen in the order of speed are controllable by a pair of linear solenoid valves 201, 202. Skipped speed change from a predetermined first speed transmission train to a second speed transmission train which is not adjacent to the first speed transmission train is made possible. In concrete, a large-capacity accumulator A5 is connected to an oil passage L19 which is in communication with 5th-speed hydraulic clutch C5. At the time of skipped speed changing from 5th speed to 3rd speed, shift valves 141, 142, 143 are switched to a state of 3rd-4th speed change. The oil pressures in the hydraulic clutches C3, C4 for 3rd and 4th speed transmission trains, respectively, are made controllable by the linear solenoid valves 201, 202.

  • Patent number: 6345548
Abstract: An automatic transmission comprises a plurality of clutches 11˜15, which are provided to select power transmission paths, respectively, in a parallel shaft speed change mechanism TM and a plurality of shift valves 60˜68, which are used for controlling the supply and drain of hydraulic pressure to and from these clutches. For this automatic transmission, a control system comprises a forward/reverse selection hydraulic servomechanism 70 and a plurality of solenoid valves 81˜85, which are used for controlling the supply and drain of a line pressure so as to control the actuation of these shift valves and the forward/reverse selection hydraulic servomechanism.

  • Patent number: 5293790
Abstract: In a control apparatus for a vehicular automatic transmission having transmission trains of five forward speeds or more, the transmission trains are divided into two groups of a low-speed system made up of relatively low-speed transmission trains and a high-speed system made up of relatively high-speed transmission trains. A main shift valve is provided for selectively supplying pressurized oil supplied from a manual valve through a first oil supply passage to an oil passage for the low-speed system and to an oil passage for the high-speed system. A shift valve unit for the low-speed system, which unit has one or more shift valves for selectively establishing transmission trains belonging to the low-speed system, is interposed in the oil passage for the low-speed system. A shift valve unit for the high-speed system, which unit has one or more shift valves for selectively establishing transmission trains belonging to the high-speed system, is interposed in the oil passage for the high-speed system.
